Warm atmosphere under this beautiful and large garden hut with leaves from the mythical Vallée de Mai. You can add a service of almost European efficiency to the daily beautiful buffet and you will realise that this restaurant deserves laurels. At grills, the king of grilled fish, Edwin, the boss, who is also a sea champion. Diving, fishing, excursions: the pink guy must have drifted well on water before anchoring a little on land, for the love of a beautiful blonde woman, a Belgian named Sybille, who does not keep his forces to make his business work, successful, because we are right now in one of the two best reference restaurants of Côte d'Or. It is also better to make a reservation even on weekdays. In the afternoon, you can sit at a table around an ice cream, a cake or a fresh fruit juice.

Under this romantic straw hut, with a view of the illuminated pool and the garden, "châtelains" and visiting gourmets enjoy a unique menu. Job tartar, tuna marinated in island fruits, grilled giraffe crab, lobster in garlic butter or captain in coconut milk... The two Seychellois chefs Keiran and Damien do wonders. In the cellar, some great wines, from saint-émilion to château-neuf-du-pape and from chablis premier cru to Ruinart. As for the atmosphere, it can be described as casual chic. An excellent address.

Ideal for lunch between two swims in a real restaurant or for dinner in an intimate setting, here the ocean view is pleasant, the service attentive and the food excellent. Special mention should be made of the octopus curry with coconut milk or the fresh fish brochettes with lemon shrimp. On the sweet side, gourmets will fall head over heels for the chocolate fondant. A fine wine list too. On Friday evenings, La Pirogue offers live music. An excellent address that makes you want to come back more than once.

In 2021, the historic Café des Arts was transformed into a friendly beach restaurant and beach club, offering Creole specialties, seafood, pizzas, wraps, sushi and sashimi. A menu that may not be for everyone, but thanks to continuous service, you can dine in an exceptional setting and enjoy the superb beach just a few meters away. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, a DJ sets the mood in the late afternoon.

This typical restaurant, in the heart of Baie Sainte-Anne, serves as a take-away all day long (convenient on the road between two excursions) and offers a nice menu at nightfall. When you want to have a quick and cheap lunch, why not do like a Seselwa, i.e. eat in a basket: kari koko bef, grilled fish bourzwa, pork stew and you can sit on the other side of the road, facing the sea. In the evening, it's barbecue time for good grills and other Creole specialties. A nice address.

La Goulue is always a hit, right in the middle of the tourist area, on the road to Côte d'Or. From bat curry to pepper-cream-cognac steak and from beefburger to fishburger, what a mix of simple dishes with all kinds of sauces, both Creole and French. The tables on the terrace are very popular with French tourists, who make up the bulk of the clientele. The atmosphere is always very friendly, as is evident from the many praises in the appreciation book, where it is written that "Chez la Goulue, c'est vachement goûtu" (Chez la Goulue, it's really tasty).

Held by the Godleys, the address is renowned for its table d'hôte (reservations required on Friday and Saturday). Here, you can have lunch or dinner à la carte, around an octopus salad, a shrimp sauté or a lobster. The sorbets are home made. The house specialties are bernique carry and roast octopus (difficult to find a zourit stew of this level on the archipelago!). In the evening, possibility of a romantic dinner on the beach on reservation.

A fine gourmet, this Lucas d'Offay! As soon as you have a well-stocked wallet, can you find at nightfall the jungle leading to this beautiful Archipelago, one of Praslin's most classy establishments, and its luxurious La Gigolette table. Its chef offers a tasty Franco-Creole blend, to be sprinkled with a South African chardonnay. The magic of the place works, especially in the evenings when, in fine weather, the tables are set on the sand, with the stars as the only decoration.

You won't fail to spot this small hut built of bric-a-brac on the side of the road. It is absolutely necessary to stop there for a lunch break. Marlène Ladouce is waiting for you there, with all of her gooey stuff. On the menu: a fruit juice, a tasty Creole dish, a dessert made with fruit from the garden and... a song by Marlène! At the Coco de Mer hotel, fish is king. It boasts a table d'hôte menu and a beautiful Creole buffet, spread over a good twenty meters. Under the watchful eye of the chef, the cooks willingly explain their compositions. Beyond the classics such as grilled bourgeois, octopus sautéed in Creole style and spicy chicken, several rarer dishes deserve to be tasted. The gourmet is even treated to local dances in folkloric dress.

The Dhevatara restaurant, the best in the area, deserves to be known. In the intimate, welcoming atmosphere of this boutique hotel, the restaurant is up to the challenge. With an à la carte breakfast like you've rarely seen, a light lunch menu that makes good use of local produce, and a gastro and fusion evening menu, this is a quality address. Carrie de chauve-souris? Freshly caught fish with Kampot pepper? Seafood? Our heart sways... Reservations recommended, especially if you want to dine overlooking the sea (weather permitting).

If the evening buffet (575 SR) is mainly for guests of the Paradise Sun Hotel, coming to lunch under the straw hut of Saint-Pierre overlooking the beach is a real good idea. Of course, the view, especially on the Saint-Pierre islet, is sublime, but the simple and well-made dishes (pizzas, pastas, burgers and of course some Creole specialties) also offer a very competitive quality/price ratio. Everything for a successful gourmet break between two sea baths.
