While L'Escale Resort, which opened its (luxurious) doors in 2021, is not located on Eden Island, its pontoon is right across the street on Roche Caiman. As on the island, the establishment does not have a beach but offers many excursions at sea from its marina. For a swim and a bubble after a day of sightseeing, head for the beautiful swimming pool or the high quality spa of the establishment, which also offers 20 high standard rooms and a table d'hôte.

At Captain's Villa, you're always warmly welcomed (by a charming Seychellois family) and can choose between double rooms, family rooms or 2-bedroom apartments (with fully-equipped kitchens). With its very attractive prices, this is a good option for discovering this wild corner of Mahé, where lovers of solitude and snorkeling will find plenty to do. All you have to do is cross the road to enjoy the superb Anse Forbans! In short, an address we warmly recommend.

The nine spacious air-conditioned rooms have a nice terrace overlooking the small garden of the hostel, which is home to a (small) swimming pool. The establishment of Mickaël Lavigne, who took over the address of the late and famous Jean-Claude Plumas (known as Plume), offers a friendly, family and intimate atmosphere, where children can even enjoy a small playground. Live travellers, mainly French-speaking, make up a large part of the clientele. In short, a great place to put your things down and set off to discover the island.

This is the first hotel to open on Eden Island. The reception area of this chic and uncluttered establishment is open to the four winds and its pools invite you to relax. The 88 rooms have all the comforts you would expect from such a hotel: spacious and designed, they are a perfect retreat after a day's stroll. The restaurant, which serves excellent breakfasts, proposes a well-felt Creole and international menu. Finally, the infinity pool facing Mahé is delightful, especially at sunset facing the marina.

Here's a discreet, endearing hideaway on the road to Sans-Souci (transfers provided). A path winds through the jungle to the Durup family home. Although the H Resort became the Story Seychelles in 2021, nothing has changed in this superb hotel with 100 beautifully decorated rooms (84 suites of 55^m2, 14 Beach Pool Villas of 150^m2 and 2 Grand Beach Pool Villas of 300^m2) that blend in with nature. We fell in love with this beautiful residence opened by a Franco-Sychellois couple, Jean-Louis and Mary-Anna, where welcome and conviviality are kings. A building of the same architecture as Kenwyn House was built to welcome guests. Here, the trees are kings and the rooms are named Santol, Albizia or Eucalyptus. All rooms have a refined decoration with a small touch of objects found in flea markets, and a view of the eucalyptus forest. The terrace, where breakfast is served, offers a 180° view with the sea in the foreground.

What can we say about the impressive palm-roofed lobby, which juts out like the prow of a boat, or the infinity pool overlooking the bay? Simply magnificent. Snorkeling sessions are offered by this establishment, which is also involved in preserving the seabed by replanting coral on the reef. You can even adopt one to follow its evolution.

«View, vision and vision»: the remark of Fabienne and Patrick, on the guestbook, proves… well seen. Perched in 1998 at the north end of the dazzling Royal Cove, and now operated by a Mauritian group, this small hotel has a large terrace with swimming pool, a magnificent panorama in Cinémascope on the so-called bay, in the middle of which Saint Joseph's bell tower and the little Bald Island are taking place. Pretty decor, a kitchen, WiFi, peace and quiet and a 10-minute walk to the beach (be careful, it's very steep): what more could you ask for? Andrew and his team also offer an excellent welcome. An address worth discovering, although you'll need a car.

It's impossible to miss this blue house along the coast of the coast! It's the big house version kitsch version of Guy Denis, this former accountant, who never leaves his blue T-shirt, having treated the decor of its small hotel whose four rooms, air-conditioned and colored are decorated with local taste, bed covered beds and stuffed fabrics. And the fountain and its Pis Pis local add a kitsch kitsch side to this friendly address. As for the garnet lounge, with its cushions and light lighting, it is a summit of the kind: guaranteed atmosphere! Musician for many years, Guy Denis has never been praying to give a little concert to his guests, who will not be able to leave without a CD of the bonhomme. Having become famous for its Sunday Creole buffets (1pm-3pm, SR600) served with feet in the sand under its straw hut, Batista Horter has invested in the hard stuff. Its raised cottages open onto a small terrace and feature 18 large, air-conditioned, local-style rooms, complete with breakfast. There's really nothing exceptional about them, but on the shore, the suites offer a sublime view of this beach paradise, which can also be admired from the small swimming pool. New rooms with sea or mountain views are planned for 2024.

This resort is located on the beachfront or a little higher up on a lush hill. Its 30 luminous villas (250^m2) are a summit of refinement (the only difference between the Ocean Panoramic and the Maia Signature being the proximity to the beach). Covered in palm fronds, they favor wood, their huge bathroom extending to an infinity pool. The spa nestles in the rocks, as does the meditation pavilion. The table is also of a starred level.

Between road and ocean, the Weidner open their lovely house on stilts and wooden partitions. Three of the four rooms, air conditioning free at night and for 25 SR all day, have a sea view, No. 3 with our preference. They are white, clean and all overlook a large and pleasant lounge, where one can take tea, watch TV or break the crust, many take away being situated nearby.
