BIOCENTRO IGUAZU
Read moreThis natural park, recently built with the aim of awakening consciences on the preservation of local flora and fauna, brings together various animal and plant species in the region and other parts of the globe (USA, Australia, Africa…). The visit begins with various reptiles, smaller snakes, the most venimous to the gigantic boa constrictor, passing through iguanas and crocodiles over 3 meters long. The visit continues with a sphere where hundreds of butterflies and plants in the region are cohabiting in the life cycle of these small beasts whose colors are astonishing. However, during our last visit in December 2017, animals were struggling (small enclosures, very dark cages, visibly weakened animals). Efforts should be made to promote animal living conditions.

RAIN FOREST
Read moreIguazú National Park is located in the province of Misiones, in northeastern Argentina, on the border with Brazil. It is home to one of the world's most spectacular waterfalls, 80 metres high and 2,700 metres long. The falls form a semi-circle and are surrounded by a subtropical rainforest that is home to a wide variety of animal species, including tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars and caimans. The park has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List since 1984. It is managed by the Argentine national government and forms part of Argentina's National System of Federally Protected Areas. Tourism is an important activity in the park, with many national and international visitors. However, tourism management is a major challenge in minimizing environmental impacts and raising awareness of nature conservation.
