You can estimate the price of a ride at www.tarifadetaxi.com/rio-de-janeiro. It is advisable to take taxis at the head of the station or to call them on the phone. This is safer. There are 70 taxis from the international airport to the south zone. Avoid taking "pre-paid" taxis at the airport, they are more expensive. Take them in the dedicated lanes.

You have to register on the website and then use your cell phone. It's true, this step can be a bit complicated, but we advise you to pay a monthly pass online (easier than by phone). Bikes are picked up and dropped off at defined points (especially in the South Zone where the bike paths are the most developed).
