In this sumptuous colonial house of white volcanic stone, you can order without hesitation alpaca, lamb, beef, Andean trout or Amazonian fish cooked on lava stone or, more classic, one of the different carpaccios. All these dishes are generously accompanied by potatoes or quinoa and a small salad or ratatouille. Save room for one of the delicious homemade desserts. At lunchtime, several menus are offered at good prices. Excellent table and impeccable service. Not to be missed!

A good and beautiful idea close to the condor viewpoint. The staff of the Kuntur Wasi Hotel have opened a small farm here with chickens, rabbits, sheep and all around fields of quinoa, kiwicha and some fruits and vegetables. The stone building with bay window offers a panoramic view and authentic food. Horse and/or pony rides. The place was inaugurated in 2015 and is popular with groups, but can be booked individually. 8 rooms for rent, ask around as it is slowly being taken over, basic but in a very privileged place.

A tourist picanteria a little away from the center (count S/ 6 by taxi to get there). It serves typical dishes in a friendly atmosphere with large tables for family meals or small round tables under parasols for more privacy in the large garden. The restaurant is very popular with large families at weekends, but the quality is uneven. The menu is long and offers all types of dishes, all delicious. The starters to share allow you to discover a bit of all the local flavours!

A nice country restaurant with beautiful dimensions, especially for groups returning from the Cruz del Condor. Reservations are essential, as the place is very popular. If you expect a lot of people, it will be a buffet, if there are less people, it will be à la carte. The choice is varied and the menu attractive. Regional dishes, soups, alpaca and trout. Everything is fresh and prepared at the minute by Juanita, the chef who regales us. Very nice view from the dining room on the terraces below. A very good value for money.
