If you don't think it's possible to dive in Touraine, think again! Jean-Pierre passes on his passion through his state-approved training organization. He teaches swimming with fins, static and dynamic apnea in the pool, and diving in the pool and in the open sea. You can also become an instructor, learn lifesaving techniques or offer an original gift voucher! And for those who want to take their adventure even further, we offer stays and courses in the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean.

For more than 30 years, the Conservatory for adults has offered Tourangeaux the opportunity to learn music theory and practice an instrument, whether you are a beginner, amateur or experienced. The courses are given in the Jean de Ockeghem room, in the former Saint-Denis church, near Place Châteauneuf. You have the opportunity to practice piano, violin, cello, guitar, flute and singing. It is important to note that the practice is oriented towards chamber music, which has been increasingly successful for several years. For more information, do not hesitate to come and meet the professionals on Wednesdays and Fridays in September, from 4pm to 6pm.

On the banks of the Cher river, in a verdant setting, an ^18th-century farmhouse provides the backdrop for these stables, which offer a range of activities for children aged 3 and over, including show jumping, dressage, horse-ball, Trec, voltige, and trail riding. Around thirty ponies and horses await you. Boots and bombs are available for amateur riders without equipment.

While the Jazz à Tours school offers jazz training, as its name suggests, its area of expertise covers all contemporary music. Rock, blues, electro, pop, explore all these fields, as an amateur musician or future professional. Through group and/or private lessons, practice saxophone, viola, drums, etc. with professional teachers. With its various partnerships, the school offers its students opportunities to play, and its musicians are very much a part of local cultural life. Jazz à Tours has already celebrated its 40th anniversary!

L'Espoir Sportif du Beffroi is a judo club in Tours. Founded in 1971, it also offers courses in ju-jitsu, taïso, karate and kendo. The club has 308 members in its three sections. Training takes place at the dojo de l'Europe or at the gymnasium of the Saint-Exupéry school complex. The association's executive is made up of 12 volunteer members, representing each section. The president of the association is Eloïse Breil.

Golf lovers will find, in this wooded park of 70 hectares, an 18-hole course bordered by hundred-year-old oaks, with eight water obstacles, a three-hole practice course, a compact course (very recent) and a driving range. The club-house and its restaurant with terrace and lounges allow you to relax before or after hitting a few balls. To continue your stay, you will also find guest rooms attached to the Château d'Ardrée.

Athletic 3 Tours is an athletics club based in Tours. The club has various sections, including school and local sections. It also has a medical center and a club store. The club's website provides information on news, competition results, club records and photo galleries. The club also organizes its own sporting events.

Budding artists or future music professionals meet in this school created in 1994. Just a stone's throw from downtown, on the other side of the Loire River, professional musicians teach the practice of modern and amplified music. The leisure courses are aimed at experienced amateurs, while the teachers also offer training courses leading to a diploma for future professional artists. Professional artists are also accompanied to finalize their project. Group workshops, individual classes and master classes are part of the school's daily routine. And to get on stage, the school offers multiple opportunities, at the music festival and in partner festivals.

There have been many twists and turns in recent years for Tours FC, the Tourangeau club ranked in Ligue 2 in 2018-2019, then downgraded to National 3 and then Regional 1 following successive administrative demotions. Finally, for the 2023-2024 season, the club is still presided over by Jean-Marc Ettori (and has been since 2013), and it's in National 3 that the Ciel et Noir players are once again playing, still supported by loyal fans! The Ligue 1 of the 1980s is a long way off, but let's keep an eye on what's next!

Rowing is an endurance activity that can be practised outdoors, in a setting that's ideal for getting away from it all. You can row on your own or with a crew, and the club also offers group AviFit classes, a rhythmic, musical activity supervised by a certified coach.

The Tempo Loco is the place that was created by the city of Tours to accompany music groups lacking rehearsal or recording space. Specialized in contemporary music, this centre for creation and information provides musicians with five rehearsal studios, four soundproofed and equipped with equipment (sound system + drums + guitar and bass amps), one of which is accessible to the disabled and a specially equipped studio dedicated to electronic music. It is also possible to record there, with professional equipment. A meeting room is at the disposal of the associative actors, and a documentary collection (press, guide...) is available for free consultation.

The Tennis Club de Tours is a tennis club located in Tours, in the Parc de l'Île Aucard, along the Loire River. With its high-quality clay courts, it attracts both competitors and leisure tennis enthusiasts. The club offers instructional courses as well as competitions. It also has a bar-restaurant where members can meet up and share convivial moments.

The TVB, a legend? It is in any case the great pride of the Tourangeaux in terms of sport. The club has won prestigious European titles, in addition to its 10 French Cups and 8 French championships! When you enter the Palais des Sports and its Grenon hall, you enter the cocoon of the French and European volleyball elite. Moreover, in 2022 the team is in contention for a new CEV European Cup! In its ranks, we find this year an Olympic medalist volleyball player, Kevin Tillié, and the cream of European players. We can only advise you to go and see a match in the arena of Grenon, guaranteed atmosphere around the floor!

Located on the Ile Aucard parking lot, Allée de la Loire, it offers a spacious, well-equipped play area.

This karting company moved from Joué-lès-Tours to Saint-Avertin in early 2022. The new complex boasts a clubhouse overlooking the 450 m-long FFSA-approved circuit. Whether you're with friends during free hours, or hosting a corporate event on site, the challenge is yours! Of course, it's possible to warm up before the start, so you can get to grips with your car and be at your best when the chequered flag drops. Students and children benefit from reduced rates, as do members - ideal if you're a frequent visitor. To continue the adventure, head for the company's second circuit, in the Indre region of France.

A bailar ! This Tourangelle association specialized in Latin dances puts on a show and animates your evenings in salsa, samba, merengue and bachata with performances ranging from 20 minutes to 1h30 of show. But also and above all, it's up to you to dance thanks to the many classes offered by the Salsa Rica dancers! For initiation or improvement, classes take place all year long, in different gyms of Tours centre and Tours north. Salsa, bachata, but also kizomba and zumba are on the program for all levels, with many classes every week and confirmed teachers. Ideal to train before going to practice in the Latin dance evenings!

To show a seasonal product, harmonize tastes and flavours, discover in practice the techniques of the chef of the château d'Artigny, Francis Maignaut, these are the ambitions of these culinary appointments. The herbe are therefore expected twice a month, Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm in the city of perfume of the château d'Artigny. At a lunch with the Chef, they then irresistible the fruits of their new know-how. And to perfect these festivities, the castle sommelier will offer them to taste the wines that will best agree with the dishes made… Example of cookery lessons: cocktails and appetizers, spices and perfumes, foie gras en bowl, truffle, trends and exotic desserts…

Fishing guide, Jean-Luc Pouget has been fishing since the age of 12 and has been teaching for decades. His speciality is predator (perch, brochet, wells…). He brings his clients to the region of Tours, on the Loire and the Cher: " The fish is there, just take the time and go to search it… " If he teaches new fishing techniques and takes some teenagers to street fishing on Tours de Tours, Jean-Luc Pouget designs his profession in total immersion in nature. In the summer it organizes mini-camps of 4 days for young people (10/17 years) with bivouac on the islands. Still in no-kill to preserve fish stocks.

The Spéléo-Club de Touraine is an association based in Tours which offers caving activities.

The adventure of UTBM, Union Tours Basket Métropole, came to fruition in 2020-2021 with a move up to Pro B. In 2021, everyone went their separate ways and Tours Métropole Basket was born! And since then, the TMB has always been at the top of the bill. In 2022-2023, the team was relegated to the NM1 (Nationale Masculine 1), but the Knights are dynamic players and their fans are relentless. Playing out of the Halle Monconseil, the TMB still has plenty of surprises in store for us. In addition, the players are also committed to meeting young people from the department: top!

The MDJT is the hub of board games in all their forms and for all ages. It is active in leisure centers as well as with the general public. For its members, it is synonymous with access to a collection of hundreds of very varied games to try out during Thursday evenings, or to borrow to play at home at very low prices, ideal for trying before buying. In summer on festivals, in winter in bars, the MDJT regularly takes the air. To note in our diaries: the Game Festival in May, and the Broc'Jeux for good deals.

For football fans, Tours Foot Indoor offers four indoor five-a-side soccer fields with the latest synthetic turf, all at affordable rates, especially if you are flexible about playing times. More dynamic than eleven-a-side soccer, five-a-side soccer puts the cardio to the test. You can book a game with friends, colleagues or a birthday party, but it is also possible to participate in the tournaments organized by the place. And for those who are curious, you can also try Bubble Foot: enclosed in a huge bubble, the players have a lot of fun.

This 18-hole golf course welcomes you on its wooded course. It combines technical difficulty and quality of maintenance. You will have a good time in this beautiful green setting. You will be able to refresh yourself at the bar or taste home-made dishes at the restaurant of the property (Château de la Touche). There is nothing to complain about in terms of welcome and the regular clientele confirms the quality of the course. Created in 1911, this golf course has always attracted the followers of the small white ball, in spite of some inclined plans which require a certain control and patience.

A team of enthusiasts share their love of the blues, lindy hop and the West Coast in this local association. Au Tours du Rock holds weekly classes at the Minimes gymnasium, as well as in the Sanitas district, Montjoyeux and the Giraudeau social center. To put this into practice, regular weekend get-togethers are organized in local venues and bars. People come to dance and have fun, without judging each other. Training courses and special evenings are also offered throughout the year, for members and the general public. With sessions for all levels and a friendly atmosphere, the association is ideal for a gentle introduction to these popular dances.

This workshop very close to the city of Tours actually hides a communication agency very wide on the web design and new techniques of com '. Xavier and Laure Célanie thus broaden their scope and become more accessible to emerging-market graphics. The studio is also a place of exhibition that moves and renews thanks to the artistic vitality of youth biemont, young to which the studio Célanie allows to provide its advice!

A sports enthusiast, Olivier has designed the Aroo Arena for the enjoyment of adults and children alike. Several courses let you jump, grab and climb on high-quality wooden structures. Come with your family, friends or colleagues (access from 1.40 m). The structure is also open to companies. The aim is to challenge yourself, Koh-Lanta-style, to let off steam and, above all, to have fun, in a friendly team spirit. Tourangeaux are delighted to spend time here in fine weather!

In Tours, the Arkose group is offering a real place to live in a 1,500 m² space dedicated to indoor bouldering... But that's not all! Right from the entrance, you'll find a restaurant serving small dishes made with fresh produce, in an indus' and zen decor. On the climbing side, you can climb indoors or outdoors, on your own or with one of our beginners' courses (for all ages). After the effort, enjoy the comfort of the sauna area and the chill-out zone with its shaded terrace, where concerts and other events are sometimes held.

Even if Touraine is a flat country, climbing enthusiasts are well catered for. Here, they have 800 m² of climbing space, from initiation to eighth degree.

From those who simply want to test their skills to seasoned climbers, there's something here for everyone. The boulders offer infinite possibilities, whether you want to work on tricky passages, precise sequences, or challenge your friends. With free access over a wide range of hours, the gym also offers introductory courses and lessons by prior arrangement.

Alexis Deshayes, a graduate of Paris, is specialized in guitar and piano. It offers special courses for all levels and styles, in various structures on Tours, and continues to play in groups and to take place in public.

It's the modern version of skateparks. In the spring of 2022, Beaumont-en-Véron inaugurated its pumptrack, an asphalt track alternating with a series of bumps and turns where teenagers and others come to have fun practicing and linking figures and exercises on wheels, with their mountain bikes, BMX, skateboards, scooters, draisiennes, rollerblades... There is a choice of 3 progressive courses depending on your level. This new playful, sporty and spectacular space was quickly adopted by the residents! Wearing a helmet is compulsory, protective gear is strongly recommended.

Everyone in the saddle! The riders, amateurs or confirmed, will be able to practise their favourite activity with pony or horse in summer or in winter. It is possible to go for a ride and discover the region. A pleasant way to visit the paths of Touraine between plains and valleys! Pension and harnessing of your horses are also proposed, as well as horse shows. A charming world to discover with our animal friends.

In addition to renting a mountain bike to discover Touraine, you also have the possibility of accompanying your hike with a donkey, which will know how to break the monotony of your walk, or to opt for a descent in a canoe or kayak. You can also go on a 20 km treasure hunt, guided by a GPS. Since 2014, nature and cycling holidays, canoe and kayak tours in Indre-et-Loire and Maine-et-Loire are very popular. Your bikes are delivered where and when you want them on your entire itinerary from the Loire to Vélo.

This canoe-kayak club welcomes you around this passion. Here, beginners or professionals practice all year long and meet to share their hobby together. It is possible to rent canoes on the Loire and to discover this river. Excursions are also organized. Departure from: Amboise, Montlouis, Tours, La Riche, for the Loire, Moulin de Ballan, or Savonnières for the Cher, and this until Saint-Etienne-de-Chigny, Langeais, Bréhémont. A great idea to combine nature, visit of the heritage and sport-relaxation!

For several months now, the trampoline-park has been part of the sports leisure activities of Touraine, and laughter as well as physical exercise are on the agenda. On more than 4 000 m², children and adults will find something to enjoy and bounce. The traditional trampolines are indeed added to various games: trampoline-basketball, climbing, trapeze, slackline... to jump, fall in the foam without danger and test its sense of balance. The little ones must come with an adult, but parents and children have just as much fun! The instructors are there to explain all the safety rules, to have fun without danger. New in 2021: Formula 1 simulators.

Experience the thrills of the Loire Valley aboard a silent quad bike - that's what E-Rando Quad has to offer. Departing from the Domaine Pierre et Bertrand Couly in Chinon, you'll set off to discover the vineyards, hamlets and forests of the Chinon countryside.
