Airlines and services North Island

The airport consists of an international terminal and a domestic terminal. A free shuttle bus runs between the two. Air New Zealand and Jetstar Airways are the main carriers for domestic destinations. All major airlines are represented for international flights. There are several ways to reach the city center: cab,super shuttle, bus(Skybus) or train. If you have time, take the 380 Airporter to Onehunga then the train to Britomart for a few dollars (at.govt.nz).

Barrier Air is an airline based in Auckland. It offers scheduled flights and cargo services to Great Barrier Island, Auckland, North Shore, Kaitaia, Whitianga and Tauranga. Flights are available on a one-way or round-trip basis. Fares start from $109 one-way to Great Barrier Island. Barrier Air also specializes in charter flights throughout New Zealand. The company operates from two bases in Auckland: Auckland International Airport and North Shore Aerodrome. It is the only airline to offer scheduled flights between Auckland and Kaitaia, as well as between Auckland and Whitianga.
