The airport consists of an international terminal and a domestic terminal. A free shuttle bus runs between the two. Air New Zealand and Jetstar Airways are the main carriers for domestic destinations. All major airlines are represented for international flights. There are several ways to reach the city center: cab, super shuttle, bus(Skybus) or train. GBI RENT A CAR

Vehicle rental

Great Barrier Island is a remote and rural destination in New Zealand, and it's important to know how to get around the island. For those who prefer to drive, GBI Rent A Car offers reasonably priced car rentals, with free delivery to Claris Airport and Tryphena Wharf. Prices start at around NZ$50 per day. Aotea Rentals offers a similar service, with prices starting from around NZ$95 per day. It's important to note, however, that the island's roads are often narrow and unpaved, there are no street lights and telephone coverage is limited. For those who prefer public transport, there are bus and shuttle services that meet boats and planes. Great Barrier Travel offers daily services to hiking trails, beaches and Port Fitzroy. There are also several shuttle companies available. For cycling enthusiasts, GBI Rent A Car also offers mountain bike hire from NZ$45 to NZ$60 per day.

In NZ, the trips are rather sporty, often including cycling activities. Epicureans are also catered for, as wine and gastronomy are part of the adventure! After the effort, the comfort.
