History: This is the factory outlet of the Neuhaus chocolate factory. This chocolate factory is the oldest in Belgium. It was founded in 1857 by Jean Neuhaus, a chocolatier from Switzerland, in association with his brother-in-law who was a pharmacist. Originally, these were pharmaceutical sweets: cough sweets, liquorice for stomach aches, marshmallows, chocolate pieces, all therapeutic and delicious sweets sold in the royal galleries Saint-Hubert in Brussels. Neuhaus is a patented supplier to the Court of His Majesty the King of Belgium. A stopover for the gourmands who find here the opportunity to taste all the possible chocolates!

Grimbergen, the third abbey beer in the Alken-Maes fold, has been in the news recently as Carlsberg, responsible for the brand internationally, and Alken-Maes have inaugurated a brewery in the abbey itself in 2021. This will allow the brewery to resume its activity in situ, more than 200 years after it was interrupted in the wake of the French Revolution. The Fenikshof tavern offers the opportunity to discover the beers brewed on site and a visitor center has also been opened, featuring a small hop garden and a medicinal herb garden.

Loterbol 6, Loterbol 8 (Blond, Bruin), Tuverbol Having opened as a small café-brewery in 1995, Loterbol expanded into a new brewhouse in a separate building in 2002. The café is still there and is open for sales and beer tastings from 4pm on the first Saturday of every month.

Oude Geuze, Oude Kriek, Bersalis Tripel, Bersalis Kadet The Oud Beersel brewery opened in 1882 and continued brewing until 2002. It reopened in 2005 under new management.Its range of beers include Oude Geuze, Oude Kriek, Bersalis Tripel (at 9.5% abv, a strong top-fermentation beer) and Bersalis Kadet. Kadet was launched in 2009 and is a malty, hoppy top-fermentation beer measuring just 4.5% abv. Both Bersalis beers are brewed by Brouwerij Huyghe at Melle.You can visit the brewery between 11.00 and 13.00 on the first Saturday of each month.

De Bierschuur sells a wide range of Belgian beers, alongside a few imported brands (such as Corona and Carlsberg) and a selection of port, wine and spirits.
