LE MUSÉE DU COCHON
Read moreThe Hartmans had an original idea to revitalize their point of sale in the centre of Bastogne: transforming part of it into the "Musée du Cochon" (Pig Museum). Specialized for several generations in deboning and cutting, they obviously know what they are talking about. At the counter, you'll find their preparations, sandwiches with toppings and local beers. At the back of the shop, there are a few nice tables where you can have a drink among the initiates and quietly taste pig products.
FRITERIE DE LA PLACE
Read moreDon't have time for a restaurant? Then why not stop by the French fry shop on the square! Even if its location and its frontage do not incite to stop there at first sight, the locals know it: this French fry shop made its reputation in Virton. The regulars will unanimously recommend the cheese fries to calm the greediest appetites (plan a little digestive nap after tasting!). The French fry shop on the square is a popular place to discover the traditional Belgian fries for a very modest price!
LE BELVÉDÈRE
Read moreThe establishment's reputation is based on its various local distinctions: ambassador of Orval (the region's famous Trappist beer), ambassador of Maitrank (flavored wine and Arlon specialty) and recognized as a "bistrot de terroir". Not far from the church of Saint-Donat d'Arlon and its famous belvedere, the restaurant serves snacks and brasserie-style dishes in a friendly troquet-style atmosphere. The Gilles d'Arlon, sponsored by the Gilles de Binche, took refuge here to stage their carnival. A lovely discovery to share.
