For 26 years now, Avallon and the Avallonnais region have been offering Festivallon, one of France's longest-running festivals, running from July to September (or October, depending on the year). Concerts are offered in restaurants and on bar terraces in Avallon, as well as in Joux-la-Ville, Montréal and Vézelay. And even in unusual locations such as the Champ-Retard cave and the Hameau des Pierreux in Coutarnoux. This year's program includes rock, folk, pop and lots of surprises...

It is not a city, but a whole region that has embarked on the organization of this festival which was born in Auxerre in 2001. 22 years later, Dijon, Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, Chalon-sur-Saône, Nevers, Sens, Tournus and the Bresse region of Burgundy have joined the prefecture of Yonne in this beautiful adventure. The concept? From July¹ to August 31, the terraces of cafés and restaurants come alive and give a chance to artists through free concerts. Itinerancy is the strong point of this festival which proposes a series of concerts in Aix-en-Othe (on the Aube side), but also a cabaret on the roads of the Othe and Armance country (between Champagne and Burgundy) and a festival for young people, "Festi'Coccinelle". Local groups perform there, but not only since more than 30 years, in Saint-Florentin, Migennes or Brienon in particular, Léo Ferré (for his last concert), Diam's or Bénabar passed by there!
