The cavea is 6 m deep and is dominated by six terraces forming earthen steps in a circular arc. A small orchestra, with a radius of more than 9 m and an arc surrounding two entrances, completes the ensemble. Close to the village of Arleuf, this rural theatre could accommodate 500 to 800 people. This building with multiple roles testifies to the strong settlement of the region at the time.

This cinema is a true testimony to the city's architectural heritage. Built in the s, the semi-circular pediment of the facade is registered in the Additional Inventory of Historical Monuments.

Completely renovated in 1994, and sponsored by Catherine Deneuve and Bruno Putzulu, the Eden can accommodate up to 280 people.

Overlooking the Loire, La Maison is an emblematic venue in Nevers, and above all the largest concert hall in the Nièvre region. Recently redesigned and renovated to fit in better with its surroundings, it welcomes all cultural and artistic movements. At the helm since 2016, Jean-Luc Revol is developing a particularly rich program open to all audiences. Music, dance, theater, circus and visual arts, the shows follow one another to the rhythm of an eclectic program. The Jean Montchougny gallery also hosts exhibitions.

Every summer, Monceaux-le-Comte hosts the theater festival Les Heures Festives, organized by Les Livreurs and Bookson. During this period, visitors can attend solo theater performances every evening from 6:45pm. These shows feature a performer who brings a play to life in one hour, with only his or her voice as ally. The festival also offers weekend workshops, from 10am to 5pm, for those wishing to learn more about literature. These include a reading aloud workshop and a solo theater workshop. Participants can enjoy a bike ride through the region, with reading breaks and a picnic on arrival. The Les Heures Festives festival takes place in the charming grounds of the former presbytery in Monceaux-le-Comte, but also offers events in the surrounding communes to showcase the local heritage.
