Each evening, a different concert takes place in this institution of live music. Locals and tourists are eager to listen to the big and the smaller. A good address.

It's the first open-air theater west of the Rockies, since 1910. They regularly organize Films in the Forest, a series of sunset screenings of films in the forest: classics or documentaries, mixing diverse local talent with big-name actors. Improvisational comedies, musicals and jazz-themed dance evenings also take place here in summer. Take a seat among the tall trees, where the lighting is discreet and the sun is setting, and enjoy the show!

"There are no strangers here, only friends who haven't met yet" , that sets the tone of this atypical place. On the wall, more than 1,000 beer cans are used as decoration. A very British and unusual pub, on Route 1 that leads to the quiet town of Half Moon Bay. Outside, a truck converted into a cigar bar, even more original than the pub itself! On the menu: pizza, fish, salad... Take away.

This magnificent amusement park built in 1907 is the oldest in California and creates a very special atmosphere: there are very few amusement parks left on the West Coast of the United States. The roller coaster here dates from 1924 and the carousel from 1911. Other more modern attractions have been added for the pleasure of young and old. A great day out, while enjoying the beach that borders the park!

An Italian restaurant that is also home to one of Monterey's liveliest nightlife spots. Six days a week, the music is in full swing: in jazz mode with a drink at the bar or dinner, or on the dance floor on Fridays and Saturdays. On the menu, pasta dishes are the highlight of the restaurant. You will also find seafood, meats, salads and sandwiches of all kinds. Nice and warm atmosphere. Happy hour with nice discounts on cocktails and on the Italian antipasti, very tempting.

We love the concept of Mosaic Locale, a kind of condensation of excellent addresses: the place serves coffees from Old Town Coffee & Roasters, delicious empanadas from Buena Onda - an Argentinian restaurant - and beers from microbrewery Draughtsmen Aleworks. While it's possible to eat indoors, we highly recommend taking a seat in the charming little courtyard. Bonus: jazz concerts on some evenings and afternoons.
