A group of eighteen permanent professional musicians covers all periods of the classical repertoire. Its mission: to bring together artistic worlds to better create, disseminate and educate all audiences. Forget your preconceptions and discover its performances. There is nothing like a concert to receive and feel the music. Program available on the website, no less than 300 performances (travel throughout the region) are planned per season.

A small neighborhood cinema, with a big one. 3 D projections, two rooms with seats with screens about meters wide, specific equipment for hearing and impaired, nothing missing. Guaranteed entertainment, made available to everyone. The sessions are regular, and the projected films are not suffering too much from the film news. If you stay in Cabourg, don't need to go far to make a painting a day of rain!

Our three musketeers Maëva, Justin and Léandre, the former bosses of the Cosy Room (this old club in Caen which occupied many nights of our students a few years ago), have opened the Âmbar! With a very friendly atmosphere and a musical background, this bar for eating and dancing is divided into three universes in relation with the sunset and this amber color - hence the name. To accompany your tapas, custom-made cocktails, out of the question to make what exists elsewhere! Elevator PMR, superb terrace, that promises beautiful evenings!

Let the one who has never wanted to go to the little corner raise his finger. Finally we must not think of the same... The P'tit Coin is a small intimate theater with 50 seats that allows unknown talents to become known. Certainly, from the outside the building is not very warm but the laughter is shared inside. In addition to this P'tit Coin, the large room opposite can accommodate 200 seats (175 at the table during cabarets). Every year, festivals are organized here several times. Reserve your seats.

Fabien and Guillaume opened the Feeling K-Pa in July 2011, a very gay-friendly bar open to lesbians and neighbours who love them. Contemporary and colourful interior, clean lines, light lighting lights. The consos are at affordable prices, the festive atmosphere… A place not to miss!

What a joyful mess! Bright colors galore, furniture and walls included (with this big fresco of the Caen graffiti artist Wakse), La Pagaille is also a bar with several facets: for the aperitif, for eating and for the night birds! A nice cocktails menu (more than thirty), draft beers... and on the food side, there is also a lot to offer. Their homemade nibbles to share make your mouth water. Between giant sandwiches, corn dogs, cromesquis, plates of Iberian cold cuts, there is enough to fill you up. Festive atmosphere guaranteed!

Exhibitions of artists, conferences, musical animations... The Grange aux Dîmes of Cambremer, located just behind the church, is a major cultural actor of the town. It offers efficient equipment and above all a magnificent setting. The old stone and the superb framework highlight the creations of local artists who regularly come to present their work. The barn welcomes 12,000 visitors per year, most of them on the first weekend of May, during the Rencontres de Cambremer, a festival of AOC/AOP products.

Reunited with the Conservatoire since 2021, the orchestra is a symphonic group of musicians mastering a wide repertoire from the Baroque period to the present day. Transferred to Caen la Mer in 2003, its missions have been reviewed and expanded with the creation of Appasionato to develop new projects, promoting access to music for as many people as possible and spreading the word about our musical heritage. The Orchestra's season includes not only concerts and recitals, but also festivals and a host of free pre-concerts!

Looking for a place to relax and unwind, in a peaceful garden sheltered from the wind and all eyes? Rendezvous at Les Dunes. It's the perfect address! Come and enjoy a hot drink with a crêpe or pastry in the tea room. Everything is homemade (crumble, tart, cheesecake...), and the sweet treats are made according to the cook's daily whims. As well as having a great time, you'll be refreshed for the end of the day and full until dinner!

We'd like to introduce you to Le Mug, a cool, cosy place where people like to take their time. In the morning, breakfast with viennoiseries from Pain Vivant - a great start! At lunchtime, we're treated to a whole host of goodies - well worth the detour! Risotto with smoked bacon or homemade bun with pulled pork, yum! We had one tiny spot left? We went for the banana-chocolate crumble! Suffice to say, all the pastries were mouth-watering, a great excuse to come back for a snack!

Dive into the heart of Normandy's history during World War II and find yourself in June 1944 in the shoes of a resistance fighter, responsible for ensuring the complete success of the Overlord mission, all in 60 minutes, not one more! Logic, team spirit and observation will be your great allies in this quest against the clock. A second puzzle (disturbing disappearances in the region in 1968) is also available, as well as an activity for children aged 7 and up: a dark story of pirates and bewitching mermaids. It's your turn to play!

If you're looking for a place to chill out at the foot of the château, Les Déserteurs is the place for you! This is the place to be for a relaxing moment. On the menu: beers from all over the world, wines, whiskies, rums and cocktails! As connoisseurs, the dream team prepares beverages you won't find anywhere else! The ambience is simple and noble, with an old-fashioned factory decor that makes you feel at home. To complete the picture, you can accompany your tasting with succulent "Miams". A place you won't want to leave!

You will have to conduct life-size investigations in a setting worthy of an Agatha Christie novel. Your mission: find the author of the crime among the breathtaking scenarios proposed. You can also go on unusual visits to discover the darker side of Caen, or go on a clue hunt in the city center but also in Calvados! Investigations for children, at home, "Mystery Pack in Caen" will adapt to your rhythm. Laughter, suspicion, reflection, revelations... Offbeat and original!

If you're a music lover, the Portobello is the place to be! In fact, Gaëtan and Guillaume, the two friends who own this café-concert, are musicians themselves, so it's a real treat! Eclectic, high-quality programming: you're sure to get an earful! Behind these doors, an intimate room dedicated to live music, with capacity for 150 people. Check out the website for the full program. A good place to come for a drink, before indulging in a concert!

Fans of all kinds of games (cards, board games, role playing games...), this store is for you! Held by two enthusiasts, the duo welcomes you warmly and is not stingy with good advice. Cédric and Nicolas know what they are talking about and also know what you want, maybe even before you do! To play with family, friends, two or many more, they will have THE game for you. In the spacious store, you can also take advantage of the miniature painting workshop or have a Malkyrs tournament. Exchange and conviviality are the order of the day!

New owners but the regulars can be reassured, the Antirouille remains the Antirouille, a small and welcoming bar far from the crowd with audio cassettes on the wall! Taken over by Jean and Léo, the relaxed and timeless atmosphere of this bar is always present. Concerts, Beaujolais Nouveau tasting, funky evenings, so many occasions to feast at reasonable prices. For the rest, we come here for a chat or why not to hit the cardboard. And for the amateurs, the table soccer made its great return, we say that...

This restaurant and tapas bar smells of Spain, its nightlife and typical dishes! Pushing open the door of this 100% Spanish restaurant (we love the interior courtyard!) is like plunging into a little piece of Spain, with a friendly atmosphere and a spirit of sharing. The menu, featuring tortillas, empanadas, albondigas, cheese platters and typical charcuterie, is right up there. To accompany this homemade cuisine (which can also be enjoyed at lunchtime), the place offers sangria, wines and Spanish beers, always with an Iberian accent.

The Silence & Songe company offers dreamlike, multidisciplinary shows in Caen. Their website, silenceetsonge.com, offers more information on their past creations, such as "Le Temps des cendres" in 2025, "Coriolis" in 2022, "Anticyclone" in 2021, "Madeleine" in 2020, "Mon Toit du monde" in 2018 and "Linon" in 2012. The company blends different arts such as theater, magic, visual arts, digital arts and music to create sensory and emotional experiences. For the 2022-2023 season, they have planned a tour with their show "Anticyclone" to various towns in France, including Le Grand Bornand, Changé, Beaumont-Hague, Passais, Le Havre, Dinan, Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc, Petit-Couronne, Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin, Sainte Croix Hague, La Guéroulde, Paris and Évrecy.

A theatre in the middle of Normandy, on the edge of the countryside and woods: unusual, isn't it? Welcome to the world of the equestrian theatre of La Pommeraye, a magical place where Sylvie-Jane, Nino and their horses live in harmony. In summer, the magic happens thanks to the shows. An hour of poetry, colourful costumes and equestrian performance. For those who are curious, there are tours to discover what goes on behind the scenes, from the stables to the costume-making workshop. Don't miss it!

Loft had become a place for not very fréquentable… The sub-Prefect of the city took the decision, after several interventions by the gendarmerie in the establishment and the approaches, to close its doors to the public for almost a month. The bar Les Voiles Rouge is now open but often closed doors. And the owner has not changed.

An establishment which is a bar, a tobacco shop, a cigar cellar, a PMU and a restaurant at lunchtime (offering a not very elaborate menu, of course, but very affordable, it can help). Thirsty pilgrims stop by chance, regulars by love of the game. The rooms overlooking the pedestrian street of Mortain are preferred to the space dedicated to PMU broadcasts, even if the flies tend to nest there. They are deserted in summer in favor of the terrace, although the metallic furniture is not very attractive. As for the service, it is indifferent.

History to finish the evening in beauty, so go to Dover Pub and take your time, it closes at four hours! Established since summer 2007 by Charlotte Delabrousse, formerly the Cotton pub. A good child atmosphere with many people. Different beers each week. Patience, Charlotte anticipates some changes in time, that happiness!

An art cinema and trial conducted by volunteers. Regularly, snacks are organized around a film, a good way to share impressions and teach children not to absorb anything they see and hear in the movies.

The good thing about this place is that it's easy to recognize the team - they don't move around much... or at all! From the top of his Arbuste, Jo, who now also markets at Place Saint-Sauveur on Fridays, is a passionate artisan who swears by high-quality 100% organic beans. On site or to take away, he offers several exceptional vintages, as well as a special beverage every month. Latte, flat white, cortado, mocha or chai latte? Artisanal roasting is the key to sublimating coffee beans, and Jo knows how to vary flavors and aromatic profiles!

For lovers of beauty, good food and greenery, there's a summer restaurant and tea room in the Jardin des Plantes Orangery. For the first time, Caen's green lung is hosting a place to relax and enjoy a snack. You'll love it! Inès and Axel concoct fresh tartines, salads, gazpacho, club sandwiches, milkshakes, ice creams from Ferme du Bois Louvet, cookies and smoothies. New: hot dishes will be introduced between now and September to warm up cooler days. After l'Aromate (rue Gémare), this couple is not short of panache!

An address not to be missed, located in the historical and trendy Vaugueux district. On the program of the Gavroche: tapas, pizzas to share, wines, vintage wines, cocktails... A menu prepared in-house with fresh products. Italian inspiration, but also seafood or salmon gravlax, for this bar of friends where the atmosphere is assured. Without forgetting the decoration, from the flowery vintage to the retro on the floor. Romuald and Justin, two lovers of good food, are at the helm and they prove it once again!

On the heights of Clécy, in the heart of Norman Switzerland, and 40 km south of Caen, the small village of Saint-Omer is located on the route des Crêtes, offering breathtaking views of the loop of the Orne and the Pain de Sucre. This is already a good reason to sit on the terrace of this ultra-friendly bar. You will find it just next to the Plaine Altitude paragliding school. This new place allows you to take a break after a hike or a flight, around an organic craft beer La Lie (brewed 5 km from there!), dishes and appetizers. And a concert on Friday evening!

It is clearly the address to be tested urgently for the amateurs of beers because here, they are local "crus", you read well! What's more, one of these beers is brewed on site. That's a mouthful, isn't it? It's true that Ross knows a thing or two about hops and malt as he created his own craft brewery, Brewmaker, not far from here, in Saint-André-sur-Orne. You will also be able to taste beers from around the world, cocktails, wine and other craft spirits. And for the small hollows or the aperitifs, it is tapas with local products!

The creators of this escape, a bit out of town, are waiting for you for a short briefing before living an extraordinary experience. For this, three game rooms await you: 'Poker Room', 'Retro Game' and 'Labo Oublié'. The latter has won nothing less than the 2019 Escape Game Award for best decor and best game in Normandy! In this Caen escape game, Marie and Laurent focus on unearthing local objects, such as the ^17th century stained glass windows in "Labo Oublié". It's up to you to find the key to your freedom!

An isolated escape game in a somewhat mystical warehouse area, especially at night, located in the old slaughterhouses. The setting is set! Don't worry, the welcome is warm, but players are quickly immersed in the atmosphere. Without "spoiling" the rooms, the stories to choose from are called "Psychiatric", "Phobia" or "In Prison". We are already shivering! Your mission: to solve riddles and get out of the six rooms with different themes (and stress levels!) as fast as possible. Sensitive souls should abstain!

Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Café Marius is sure to please! Yes, you'll have to shell out the cash, and the place isn't cheap, but its unexpected, elegant, green and peaceful roof terrace, accessible from the "Par Hasard Maison" decoration boutique (which is also worth a look), promises an unbeatable view of the town and the beach. You won't want to leave until aperitif time, when cocktails and nibbles are on offer. A great discovery, at Deauville prices!

Don't forget this address! In homage to the Beach Boys song featured in the film Cocktail, the Kokomo (without Tom Cruise, of course!) offers a long list of recipes for the aforementioned beverages! In association with Scottish brewer Brew-dog, you can also enjoy some great "mousses". It has to be said that owner Jorge Dias knows his stuff: he already owns Le Préau, a Mecca for good Caen parties. And if you're feeling peckish, there's a selection of appetizers to satisfy even the hungriest of appetites!

Ah this famous "Café"! We've been visiting it since we were kids, we've worn out the velvet of the seats! More than 40 years of existence for this independent and atypical place. Its unstructured architecture calls out, and the 3 rooms are just as particular! Its eclectic program is for everyone: from the great classics to see (and see again), to new films in VO, young audiences and previews. In addition, the Café is also a restaurant with a different menu every day, offering brunches and entertainment. Much more than a movie theater!

Tired of rue Écuyère or rue Saint-Sauveur? These Trois Marches are well worth the detour! Then head for the lower part of the Vaugueux, and this charming neighborhood bistro. Here, you'll find a wide range of cocktails, wines and beers, as well as snacks from Malo Taqueria. Here, the atmosphere is perfect, whether by the fireside on winter evenings or to the sound of music on lively evenings. It's a place to enjoy life to the full, and their "vivanterie" has definitely won us over!

What if we took a little height on the Trouville seafront? This Cabane Perchée, with its young, relaxed and offbeat style, awaits you for lunch, a moment of chill, sunbathing or a snack facing the sea. From the rooftop, you can enjoy a drink or a cocktail, accompanied by tapas (egg rolls, homemade fries with truffle gouda gratin...), a poke bowl or a plank (with lomo, chorizo and Bellota ham for example). All this with a breathtaking view of the sea wall and the beach. Very nice, trendy and, from now on, unmissable!

From 5pm, the doors open to reveal a warm, lounge-like decor with sofas and old armchairs, and even a tree in bloom! We'd love to share tapas, pizza or a charcuterie and cheese board. As for cocktails, prepared in-house, you can choose between a classic, an inventive or the cocktail of the month. If the evening lasts, because the music is good, good, good, the menu plays the gourmet card... We opt for the Angus entrecôte: 300 grams of tender meat served in strips. Tonight we share everything! Even our favorite spot in Caen!

It's always the right time to push the door of Gloriette! Because, in addition to being able to have lunch there, to do your shopping (not cheap but at the same time the brands are famous), you will also be very well there at tea time, around a hot drink (notice to the amateurs, the mocaccino is unctuous as in Italy!). In a clear, calm, vegetal and inspiring atmosphere, you can work or write, as we did. And why deprive yourself of the pastries on the counter? The cinnamon roll and the cheesecake are worth the detour.

Apparently, it's the best mojito in Caen! We also loved the cider, pommeau and blackcurrant cocktail! The atmosphere at Gini's is relaxed. Comfortable with its cushions, the terrace (quieter in the evening) boasts a breathtaking view of the château and Saint-Pierre church. At the helm are Gilles, an old hand from La Bourride, and Nick, of Croatian origin (we speak French, English, Spanish and, of course, Croatian!). Depending on the inspiration of the day and the market, the duo prepare tapas to share. So, t'ché qu'tu bé?

This atypical, ethical venue run by 2 sisters brings together a florist, a coffee shop and a decorating corner. On the first floor, Pauline offers seasonal flower arrangements from France and Normandy. On the^{1st floor} is Clémentine and a coffee shop with a flowery decor and a British accent. The café's philosophy is based on short circuits, and offers a vegan, homemade and seasonal menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Finally, on the 2nd floor, the decorating area features handicrafts, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

A Club Dorothé fan since childhood, Stéphanie passed on her passion to her children, opening a place that would welcome enthusiasts, the curious and anime fans alike. With her daughter Naomie, Stéphanie opened this tea room dedicated to the world of Japan. Le temple du geek is a journey to the land of manga, where you can enjoy homemade Japanese pastries(mochi, taiyaki, dango), as well as bubble teas and other ramune. an Asian grocery section and manga-related products are also available.

For a moment out of time in a superb manor house proudly set in a natural setting near Honfleur, don't hesitate to open the door (and what a door it is!) to the P'tit Yard. Open to guests of the Jardins de Coppélia hotel, this gourmet bar allows you to enjoy a glass of natural wine accompanied by a range of delicious dishes (roast camembert and granny apples, bone marrow, croque-monsieur with Neufchâtel and truffles...), all at an affordable price. All in a unique setting, with a terrace overlooking the sea.

It's already been four years since the Théâtre à l'Ouest, dedicated to comedy, won us over. The only one of its kind in the city, this human-sized venue with a seating capacity of almost 200 welcomes the big names in one-man/woman shows, as well as rising stars and young, little-known talents. Philippe Lellouche, Alison Wheeler, Jean-Marie Bigard and Max Boublil will pass the baton on stage. And that's not counting magic shows, hit plays and musical tales for the little ones. As an added bonus, the artists often meet the audience at the end of their show!
