Friendly outhouse near the island's old port and traditional Greek cuisine tasted and approved by the locals! The fava (creamy split pea purée) is exceptional here, as are marinated anchovies, octopus cooked in wine, sardines, meatballs and the very tasty tyrokafteri (watch out, this is spicy cheese) and many other well-cooked specialities. Excellent mezzés in general and, of course, a fine menu of ouzos and Macedonian wines. In summer, it is served in a courtyard. Lively, it can get very noisy!

Stop by this friendly tavern near the waterfront and Sappho Square. The few tables with embroidered tablecloths are very popular with the locals, and have been since 1960. The small tavern is located in an alley off Ermou Street, under the shade of an arbor. One comes here to taste all the "classics" of Greek and local cuisine. Let yourself be tempted by an infinite variety of mezzes, among which delicate grilled sardines, a specialty of Lesbos, or octopus cooked in wine, all to be washed down with a local ouzo, of course.

Another one of our favorites in Molivos on the port. It is undoubtedly here in one of the prettiest and most romantic corners of the village, a Greek-Australian couple offers a beautiful seafood menu. But Melinda excels in Italian cuisine while Theo is sometimes called the "king of keftedes". A beautiful table and a beautiful view, including inside where the works of local artists are often exhibited. If you have a choice, go for dinner, for the nightlife, and to taste, why not, its lobster.

Below the Ottoman fortress, at the end of the village, this tavern welcomes you overlooking the sea and offers a simple but authentic cuisine. Don't miss the speciality: the lobster pasta. It is true that here we privilege the products of the sea and the fish: tarama, fried anchovies, squids stuffed fresh with cheese... As for traditional mezzes, try the meatballs or the dakos salad with tomatoes, cucumber and cheese. Finally, ravani (semolina cakes with syrup) and homemade walnut cakes are worth trying.

Pretty tavern on the edge of the pier where the octopus is praised... the octopus. But reputation is not usurped. Almost forty years of experience and history will always make the difference. By the quayside, you will find excellent fresh grilled fish, cooked on demand (if you want your fish to be served without oil or lemon sauce, don't hesitate to ask). Seafood dishes and more classic meats (seasonal casseroles and stews, as well as grilled meats). Interesting wine list. Good and cheap!

This small tavern offers a very respectable seafood menu on the coastal road of the village: take advantage of the tables on the harbor to enjoy the view while eating. The must-try items of the house are apparently the octopus balls, as well as the fried zucchini flowers, the salted sardines and the marinated or fried gavros (anchovies). Overall, you will find here a home cooking based on fresh fish and good meats, grilled, in casseroles or in delicious stews. To be accompanied by a local ouzo, of course.
