The most beautiful natural sites to discover Baja California

A few kilometres south of Loreto, this source is an oasis in the implacable climate of the peninsula. It was known to the Spanish from the time of the missionaries.

Santa María, 1 km north of the city, where the El Morro hotel-restaurant is located. However, to take full advantage of beach tourism, it is advisable to go further south, to Mulegé, which is only 60 kilometres away. San José has a few beaches ideal for surfing, including Costa Azul, which hosts international competition in summer. The Playa Palmilla, a little further south, is more suitable for family visits. The beaches Nuevo Sol and California are ideal for soaking up but paying attention to courrants. As elsewhere, find out about bathing conditions. For adventurers, you will find pristine places along the road along the coast along the coast towards Cabo Pulmo. 

It is a nature reserve of 50 acres (including 6 open to the public), which houses endemic species of cactus of the peninsula. Small explanatory panels along the promenade: for naturalists and passionate.

This great design garden is dedicated to the desert plants and the Mexican peoples who inhabit it. No less than one million plants from 1 500 species are assembled around circular pyramid structures, as a tribute to the sacred geometry of the huichol people. It is walking on foot or by bike, preferably very early in the morning.
