The Troubadour is a nice pub that is hard to miss once you've set foot in Jersey. In fact, when the weather is nice, its huge terrace that stretches over the whole central square (the one you see when you get off the ferry) is unmissable! Inside, we do in the classic: wood, bar seats, televisions for the sport and dozens of beers on tap and in bottles. It's the perfect place to enjoy the last rays of the setting sun. We love it... when the weather is nice!

Perfectly located in the very center of the capital city of St. Helier, The Lamplighter is a traditional pub, all dressed in red of course, where it is good to end a long day of visits and walks on the island. And, like any self-respecting pub, the establishment offers a very wide range of beers and whiskies, sometimes unavailable elsewhere in Jersey. And what is a good sign is that the pub is (frankly) very popular with the islanders

The Portelet Bay beach café is a must on sunny days, from spring to fall. Located on the right side of this beautiful sandy cove, this establishment is reached after a short walk or by boat. The café offers a beautiful terrace and a rustic room, all dressed in wood. A perfect spot for a lunch between a swim and a sunbathing session or to have a drink. On the menu, pizzas, antipasti, beautiful salads and the eternal and succulent linguine with crab. An excellent address

The Trafalgar Inn is a small pub well placed at the intersection of High Street (the main street of Saint-Aubin) and the Saint-Aubin road (which leads out of the village). It's a typical place with a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for a rainy afternoon with a beer in hand. Although the owner can be a bit grumpy, the atmosphere around the pool table can be nice... And it goes up a notch during the evenings when bands are playing or when there is a soccer game on the screens of the establishment.

A pub styled in light, contemporary tones, with an attractive mezzanine. It's the perfect place to relax or enjoy a late afternoon drink. You'll find a lot of islanders coming here after work, so it's a relaxed place to enjoy an aperitif. The atmosphere goes up a notch at soccer matches, but especially at the final whistle, when Jersey's youngsters come to sway to the sounds of the DJ or live bands, for one of the best atmospheres on the island.

In the Havre des Pas, the pubs are not legion. It is so much better for the residents because these last ones can sometimes generate a certain number of decibels. Fortunately for us, we can find this bar of princes which differs a little from this type of places thanks to its terrace, its evenings "open mic", its karaokés, its evenings bingo, its quizzes, its charity evenings. With its situation, it is moreover a perfect place to decompress after a beautiful day of beach and to refresh itself after a small session of bronzing.

The main attraction of this small pub seems to be, in the evening, the electronic jukebox and during the day its beautiful terrace which stretches next to the famous shopping street of Saint-Hélier. It goes without saying that we recommend it for the days of good weather when the terrace is open because, the evening, our musical tastes are not referenced... We like it during the day and we are not the only ones: on Saturdays and Sundays, it is the meeting point of the families who come to stroll on Queen Street and make a shopping session

The Office is a small wooded and traditional pub located in a street adjacent to the port. Very well located in the center of Saint-Hélier, it offers nothing but a relaxed atmosphere, a regular and rather male clientele, themed evenings (live music or karaoke on Friday and Sunday evenings), darts games and the eternal TV screens for the broadcasting of (many) soccer matches. The bar is always full and attracts mostly locals from mid-afternoon

Not far from the cliffs of Portelet Bay and nestled in a superb building dating from the 16th century with a flowery and stone façade, The Portelet Inn pub is a great classic on the island of Jersey and an address that is always very popular with tourists and locals alike. The recipe for success? Good pub food brought up to date, a nice drinks menu and a nice terrace to enjoy the sun on sunny days and especially a superb view. There is also a nice playground for children

On the central square of Saint-Hélier, in the historic center, The Square is one of the capital's latest trendy spots for thirty-somethings. Modern and stylish, with its exposed stone walls and neon industrial decor, this establishment offers an attractive menu (including good burgers and seafood) and excellent cocktails. So it's with a Peach Bellini or a Pornstar cocktail that you can enjoy the live music on offer Friday and Saturday from 9pm to 11pm.

The White Horse is the pub which dominates the beach of the Havre des Pas and its large terrace is a godsend as soon as the nice days arrive thanks to its spectacular views on the sea. The decoration, rather modern and warm, is also very pleasant inside an establishment where you can sit down to eat some great classics (burgers, fish and chips, caesar salad, etc.) in pleasant leather armchairs or in a modern restaurant room.

Biere Atelier, cousin of the good table La Bastille located a few meters away, is a bar with a modern decoration and rather very popular on Friday and Saturday evenings by the thirty-year-olds of the capital. The main reason? The establishment proposes many good quality beers, in particular an excellent Purity. The local regulars and the few tourists who have had a flair for it also come here to watch the soccer matches or to enjoy the beer on special offer (which changes every month). The welcome is always very pleasant.

The Forum is a traditional English pub like you can find hundreds of them in Jersey, with its wooden furniture, its televisions to watch Premier League and Champions League matches, its pool table, its dart board, its juke-box and its slightly red-headed regulars. Nothing very original then. But, a little plus here, there is a very good selection of beers and especially a house beer (Forum Finest): a 4.2% ale, very good and very refreshing. We go there especially for that, we must admit it. Cheers!

It's hard not to see this nice little pub since it's located on the parking lot and thus at the entrance of the path that leaves for the very touristy Devil's Hole. It is therefore an ideal place for a cool break, especially since it has set up a place dedicated to children, the "Little Devils Play Area" where they can scream at will. The establishment is very popular with the locals for Sunday brunches in particular. It must be said that it is well known since it is one of the oldest inns on the island.

Project 52 is one of the trendy bars of Saint-Hélier which was founded by... 52 inhabitants of the capital and now regulars of the place too. An original approach for a place, located in a small alley of the historical center, which wants to be unique on the island. What is sure, it is that with its design style industrial chic, one feels really well there. We drink excellent cocktails and beers mainly craft, which can be accompanied by one or more pieces of excellent homemade pies. A nice address

This is one of the best kept secrets of the Jersey capital! At the Don, as soon as the weekend comes around, the shakers are brought out, shaken with talent and inventive cocktails are offered, always perfectly made by the talented bartender. In an intimate atmosphere, where the light is always subdued, do not hesitate to venture into this original establishment, discreetly nestled in a small alley of Saint-Hélier. The Don can also be privatized for the organization of events. Cheers!

A little away from downtown Saint-Hélier, on the road to Saint-Aubin, this small neighborhood pub has a very relaxed atmosphere with many regulars. And surprise: among the regulars there are many children! Indeed, at the back of the bar there is a small playground (nicely called "Treasure Island") with a plastic ball park. A good place to go at the end of a rainy day for the youngest (and those who accompany them!)

With its modern and design look in pastel tones, this beach club, just opened in spring 2022, is one of the latest trendy places on the island. We recommend coming here for a hearty breakfast or brunch, facing the sea, ideal to start the day. But above all, a few hours later, at sunset time, the cocktails are the promise of a perfect aperitif. For those with a sweet tooth, try the homemade cakes, so delicious! An address that will quickly become a must in Jersey...

The Saint Lawrence is a small, traditional, family-run pub right in the heart of the eponymous village: it didn't take much to lure us in on a late afternoon. And in terms of decor and atmosphere, it's all there. We love it, especially the little patio hidden away at the back of the establishment. And we're obviously not the only ones, as the place is often fully booked for dinner (it's not very big either). A nice stop-off on the way back from a walk to Saint-Hélier.

Here is a typical pub of the island of Jersey from which emerges a rather family atmosphere with its cohort of regulars that one imagines here since always, just like the DJ who performs from time to time on Saturday. For soccer fans, there are a few screens and, above all, this pub is the "home of Celtic" (the official haunt of the many Glasgow Celtic fans) on the island. On Wednesdays, it's usually karaoke night and on Sundays you can enjoy some good typical dishes prepared by the chef. We like the address very much.
