LIBERTY WHARF SHOPPING CENTRE

Shopping mall
5/5
1 review

Set in a beautiful stone building, this is a brand-new shopping mall combining cafés (including Costa and Fox & Firkin) and small boutiques. It's the ideal place for a short break (or to wait for your boat with a coffee) or to do some shopping (clothes, decorative objects, computer equipment, etc.). You'll also find a few good places to sit down and enjoy a meal. It's pretty and airy.

THE HARBOUR GALLERY

Works of art design and reproduction

On the port of Saint-Hélier, just a few minutes from Liberation Station, nestles this friendly gallery featuring the work of many of the island's artists. Photos, fabrics, paintings, collages... We like it because it's the only gallery of its kind in Jersey. It's the ideal place to take a break and find a souvenir made in Jersey, a change from the usual souvenir stores, to slip into your suitcase before the boat home. You'll also find something to quench your thirst, as well as proposals for art courses and workshops.

JERSEY PEARL

Jewelry

Here you will find the largest display of pearl jewelry in the Channel Islands, no less. The pieces are created one by one by the craftsmen of the workshop. There is also a small café, very practical to warm up in winter or to enjoy the terrace in summer. In short, a nice place to take a break and admire the work of the artisans and why not to fall for one of the many unique creations. You are warned! Otherwise, for £30 you can buy an oyster and its pearl.

CATHERINE BEST JEWELLERY

Jewelry designer

Catherine Best, a world-renowned jewelry artist, has long been based in Guernsey. She also has another workshop-boutique-restaurant here in Jersey. And not just anywhere, in a beautifully renovated country mill, a historical monument dating back to 1837. You can see her creations and if you feel like it (take advantage of the fact that the island is tax-free), you can order a custom-made piece of jewelry. It is (very) expensive but unique. Otherwise, you can just stop by for the pleasure of your eyes.
