Because the different neighborhoods of Kristiansund are built on several islands, a network of small neighborhood boats has been shuttling people around for over 100 years. It is one of the oldest transport companies in the world. These famous Sundbåtene are one of the city's characteristic attractions: you can take them to get a glimpse, without stopping. The journey takes about half an hour. You can also stop, walk around, have a coffee, visit the Norsk Klippfiskmuseum or the Nordlandet Kirke church and then take the next boat.

This is one of the most popular ferry trips in the world! From the deck or comfortably installed in an armchair at the front of the boat, you can admire the Geirangerfjord from the water for about an hour. High cliffs on both sides, water as smooth as a lake, waterfalls that are too numerous to count. Some of the houses on the shore were still inhabited until 1960. Elevator for people with reduced mobility, coffee, light food and good mood of the whole team! You feel like you are at the end of the world!

A cable car is certainly expensive but great if you pass by, and especially the opportunity to get high quickly and discover all the hiking trails that start from the summit. In summer, the time amplitudes are obviously greater than in winter. In summer too, there are hikes to be done on foot, but also paragliding, mountain biking, via ferrata and even a zip line open on Saturdays depending on the weather. The cabin is quite spacious and gently lifts us to an altitude of over 1,000 meters in just ten minutes. Vertiginous!
