The best restaurants Sørlandet

This architectural feat designed by the Norwegian firm Snøhetta is absolutely unique! It is an underwater restaurant, the first in Europe. You can recognize it thanks to its head that emerges from the water. The atmosphere and the decor are futuristic, while remaining sober. Inside, the immersion five meters under the surface of the water is total. With a Michelin star, the chef Nicolai Ellitsgaard Pedersen serves fish and seafood with seaweed harvested under the restaurant. It is imperative to book several months in advance.

Dinner in Den Blå Lantern (the lantern Blue) is a real pleasure. It's a fish restaurant, the dishes are about NOK 200. The hotel is also a hotel.

This old house in the Pollen port was spared by the flames. Its terrace, facing the fish market, is sheltered under large trees. In the room, there is a bar side with music in the evening, and a restaurant side, in a rustic country style. The cuisine is rather traditional, with a touch of modernity. A good address. A really nice place, as we like them, with little lights here and there, people who have a smile, especially locals. We particularly recommend the Danish buffet!
