They are more charming because of the outdoor environment. If some rooms have humidity stains, they offer a good value for money. All of them are spacious, furnished in a basic, déco and frills manner. We appreciate the large green garden and the relaxing setting. To avoid during the Pi May.

At Nakuan, on the lake. Comfortable accommodation, originally planned for the engineers working on the spot. The bungalows are pretty old but have air conditioning and hot water.

A good address for those who want to spend a stay in the green and who have a vehicle at their disposal.

This large and recent white building located on the banks of the Nam Song river offers small rooms, some with balcony and river view (these are by far the best!). They are all air-conditioned, clean and well kept, but very basic. The popularity of the establishment has led to an increase in prices. Beware of noise, think of earplugs if you are an early riser. Nice roof terrace on the third floor where you can watch the sunset.

On the riverside, behind the old post office (look out for the signs, you have to go down a small path), La Phoubane is a real bargain, with its restaurant under a large straw hut overlooking the Nam Song. The rooms are simple but functional and clean. Some of them are in small concrete houses with small private terrace. It is a real pleasure to wake up in a quiet place, around a breakfast while looking at the misty mountains on the other side of the waves. The Phubarn café offers a magnificent view of the river.

Designed by a young, friendly Frenchman, this camp has the particularity of being built in an extraordinary natural setting. Three canvas tents, each accommodating 2 people, offer unexpected comfort, with tasteful furnishings and a relaxing atmosphere. Each tent has an annex with shower and toilet. In the evening, a meal worthy of a fine restaurant is served in the open air, with French wine and Franco-Laotian specialties.

This large nine-story hotel is ideally located near the Mekong River and has 68 rooms divided into four categories of international standard. Large beds, air-conditioning, wooden floors, minibar and equipped bathroom. All rooms are modern and comfortable. The bar restaurant is located on the second floor and serves Lao Vietnamese cuisine. The Tipsy Elephant is a great rooftop bar. In-house massages and a small fitness center are available to residents.

This guesthouse, located not far from Nam Phou, offers rooms that are small but impeccably kept. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a small TV. Rooms with a balcony overlooking the street are preferable as they are more airy (some rooms do not have windows). The warm welcome of the staff makes the stay pleasant. Its location close to the historical centre is ideal. One can only regret that prices have increased significantly, which makes its value for money much less attractive than before.
