This huge Victorian property on Loch Linnhe has everything you would expect from a perfect mountain retreat. The ten bedrooms with shower rooms are of different sizes and layouts, with some remarkable views, and all are equipped with every comfort. You can even go out in the evening to pick from the DVDs available. The bar offers you its arms to relax at the end of the day, accompanied by a dram to choose from among its 350 whiskies, including some rare malts. Lunch baskets can be prepared on request.

At the north entrance to Glencoe on the B863, Callart View faces Loch Leven in its cosy little cottage. The house is rather modern on the outside, but the interior is beautifully decorated in a traditional and cosy style. The three double bedrooms have their own bathrooms and are well appointed. Some of them overlook the loch, as does the living room. It is also possible to rent a cottage with two bedrooms.

Conchra House is a beautiful cosy house leaning against the hill and perfectly situated for the view of the loch and the mountains. It is close to Dornie, not Kyle of Lochalsh itself (count 16 km), just outside the village of Plockton. A traditional 18th century house, it offers the luxury of a Scottish country house. It will make an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area (why not Skye?), hiking or discovering the surrounding heritage. The rooms are all comfortable, each with its own bathroom.

This charming cottage has 3 bright bedrooms with a view of the Broom loch. Located on a promontory, it offers superb views between cliff and rocky beach. Each of the rooms has its own view on the loch and are furnished with all the necessary and appreciable comfort: en-suite bathroom, TV, hairdryer, courtesy tray... The living room and the garden are accessible to visitors, who can even go to the beach. A drying room is available, for wet hiking returns, as well as maps and guides of the region.

The delightful West House offers three double rooms with stunning views of the Highlands. All contain a fridge (with fresh milk and juice) and their own bathrooms. The furnishings are modern, comfortable and the guests are warm and helpful. For breakfast, which is not served on site, don't worry: the B&B is surrounded by establishments offering a wide range of options, so you will have a wide choice and can even try out several according to your desires. You can take it in your room.

The three rooms are single, double or twin and all have a private shower and toilet, as well as beautiful solid wood furniture, practical storage space, the traditional courtesy tray and free wi-fi. You really feel at home here and the hosts know how to make you feel at ease. There is also a living-dining room where it is possible to sit down to read a book or watch a film and a terrace.

In the heart of the village, Tigh Nan Ubhal has three double rooms. They all offer a certain comfort, with quality bedding, private parking and free wifi. Beautifully situated north of Wick Harbour, Seaview has three very pretty and comfortable rooms. One is double and can become a family room, while the other two offer twin beds. The latter share a bathroom and the former has its own private amenities. The reception is pleasant and the Sun Room is a shared living room with pleasant views. The house has been a bed and breakfast for nearly 40 years, hence a real know-how and a lot of advice to give to discover the best of the region.

Spend a night in an old bank: and why not? You won't sleep in the vault, but in one of the rooms upstairs, overlooking Wick's main street. In the heart of the city, you have access to restaurants, shops, pubs... The guesthouse is pleasant, with its well-appointed, spacious and comfortable rooms.
