This route is perfectly adapted to family walks, the circuit can even be covered in a stroller.

During the hunting season, some parts of the state forest are closed to the public, but you can always take the shortest variant (4 km).

This circuit is divided into three loops, 4 km, 17 km and 21 km, to suit both experienced hikers and the more novice. It starts at the Val Joly Park house in Eppe-Sauvage. For the longer loops, take your picnic to have lunch in the beautiful Avesnois Regional Natural Park. Take binoculars and the booklet published by the Park to discover the birds so that you don't miss anything of this beautiful walk.

This new indoor complex offers a wide range of activities. For adults: bowling, karting (with a 3,600^m2 circuit), laser game (500^m2), billiards and arcade games (with more than 80 terminals). For the little ones: a play area covering 1,200^m2. On the theme of the zoo, the 3 to 13 years old will be able to take advantage of games of awakening and playfulness in complete safety. Le Manège has the particularity of being a theater recognized as a national stage since 1991, but above all a cross-border cultural center bringing together Maubeuge and its neighbor Mons, in Belgium. Founded and directed by Didier Fusillier, this theater works for the democratization of culture and the quality of programming. Not only are several creations presented each season, but several dance or jazz festivals have earned an international reputation. The most famous is a street festival which takes place at the end of June: the Folie's.

Here is a nice circuit to discover with your family. Of a great richness, it will lead you on the forest paths, the small bocage roads and the paths of edges of ponds. You will also appreciate the passages over the waterways and the viewpoints on the river and the town. It is now possible to visit again the historical site of the forges of Anor which have resumed their activities. Attention, the access to the undergrowth of Hirson is strictly forbidden.

In Sains-du-Nord, discover a circuit to be walked all year round through the bocage. However, the 13 km route is reserved for experienced walkers. You will appreciate the views of the Helpe Majeure. In rainy weather, bring waterproof shoes, especially in the tall grass of the bocage paths and when crossing streams. Back in Sains-du-Nord, visit the Maison du Bocage, which will show you all the rural know-how of the Avesnois.

A unique tourism and leisure center in the Avesnois, the Bol Vert is located in a former ^19th century glass factory. It is an ideal place for a family stopover with the Hôtel des Verriers, but also numerous infrastructures dedicated to recreational and sports activities: a swimming pool-bubble bath, a sauna, a squash court, a playground, a mini-golf and a horse riding center.
