Things to see and do Pays de la basse Ariège

Managed by the ART + association, this gallery exhibits around ten visual artists each year, over three-week periods. You'll discover renowned artists, but also, since this year, amateurs who can rent the space, or Pamiers high school students with the Art option. The gallery is a true cultural venue, as throughout the year it also organizes concerts, workshops for young people, live shows, conferences with artists or about art... The welcome is warm and relaxed.

Montaut, by its steeple, its medieval alleys or its church Saint Michel, invites to a journey over time. After taking the tour of the village centre, head to the soap following the indications. If the heart tells you, it is open to the public: His visit, by appointment, lasts about an hour. To continue the loop, return first to your steps and then go left towards the hamlet of Crieu. You will then pass through the famous places of Loubès Old, Guillouty and Capet, before returning to the port.

At the beginning of the church, this 8 kilometre circuit takes you to the clayey soils of Cante, formerly operated by a company of Saverdun to manufacture briquettes. The landscapes alternate between wood, fields and meadows. There are a few points of view across the route, first on the Côteaux du, then on the Terrefort Hill or the Pyrénées Pyrenees. If you live there, this walk is also an opportunity to discover the few surrounding hamlets: you will pass through those of Sinafé, Guilhamet, and the said Jean Blanc.
