Museum frequented by students organizing a very instructive visit on the history of the horrors of the deportation of Varilhes.

Relive a tragic period of our history, seen through the horrors of the deportation. Models, photos of numerous deportees from the Ariège, objects from the camps, deportee outfits, press articles. This place is frequented by students because the truth and the strength of the testimonies exposed are worth all the history lessons. A visit not to forget, not to reproduce, to understand and remember. Very instructive for the generations.

Musée retraçant l'histoire de la résistance Française, accessible à tous et toutes. A proximité de la gare ferroviaire et du centre ville. Il y a aussi des expositions temporaires sur place dans ce même lieu. Parking sur place gratuit. A visiter. Il y a un accès PMR.

Ce musée présente une exposition permanente de grande qualité sur le plan historique et pédagogique portant sur la Résistance et la Déportation en Ariège. Une exposition temporaire traite en ce moment de la présence des Espagnols dans le département depuis la Guerre Civile jusqu'à nos jours. A voir absolument !
