This establishment is the oldest shisha café in RAK. It was opened more than 40 years ago by Ali Ahmed al-Ghais, who after working as a fisherman and bricklayer in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, decided to try his luck as a coffee shop owner. Since Mr. Ghais' death, his son Adel has taken over. The place comes to life once the sun goes down, when the air gets a little cooler: the locals gather around a shisha to play backgammon, dominoes or cards, while sipping tea or hot coffee, often until late at night.

Located on the 9th floor of the Double Tree Hotel, the view of the sea from this partially outdoor bar is simply stunning, and the sea breeze is quite pleasant, especially at sunset. The service is efficient and the atmosphere relaxed, the perfect place to relax with a cocktail in hand. A shisha menu is available and they also have a menu with some food options. Moody music, and a very busy place at night especially on Thursdays and Fridays.

Three boxes side by side in the courtyard on the left of the hotel entrance, according to the community of affiliation. So we choose the rhythms of the Indian sub-continent, the oriental cabaret or the pop box, a little gruesome, but nothing to fear. In case of need, the hotel rooms are 50 m away.
