The new airport, renamed after the "Barefoot Diva", is located in São Pedro, 15 minutes from Mindelo. It can now accommodate international flights from all over the world. MARINA MINDELO

Founded in 2005, it is the only marina in the country, run by two Germans, Lutz and Kai. In order to meet the needs of maritime leisure, 720 m of pontoon were created, 150 berths for boats up to 50 m long and a maximum draught of 5.5 m. The structure can accommodate more than 120 boats and offers (almost) all the facilities you would expect from a marina: gas, diesel, water, electricity and facilities such as showers, Wi-Fi and even a super friendly floating bistro where we talk about navigation before anything else, of course.

the3rd busiest airport and undoubtedly the most charming on the archipelago, with its relaxed atmosphere and airy style. With sufficiently long runways, it can accommodate large aircraft from Europe. On the practical side: a bureau de change open 7 days a week until 1 a.m., a car rental agency, a bank with ATM and a number of souvenir stores. There's also a snack bar where you can grab a bite to eat while you wait.

CV INTERILHAS

Boat and ferry

CV Interilhas is the company operating between the islands, in charge of transporting passengers and cargo. Before going to the agency, check the schedules and rotations on their website. It is strongly recommended to buy your tickets (round trip) the day before, as schedules are subject to change. This has become almost the norm in Cape Verde, but it tends to improve with the centralization of shipping companies. To buy tickets, you can also contact travel agencies scattered throughout the country, which are experienced in this field.
