"Akila Gruissan Pôle Étang" is a sailing school for beginners and advanced sailors. The certified staff is very attentive and able to teach different levels. Several sports are practiced such as wing foil, windsurfing, funboard, optimist or canoe... The material park is of very last technology to progress in the best conditions. The magnificent pond of Mateille is a secure place ideal for learning these various disciplines.

You will be able to take initiation courses in group or in private, to make training courses of improvement, the whole on the pond of La Palme, Leucate or on the beach of Coussoules to La Franqui. We can also rent equipment and organize outings for company committees.

The club run by Julien and Caroline, two ex-champions of windsurfing, is one of the must-see spots in the sport. Located on the Goulet spot, it attracts professional riders and amateurs looking for equipment and training. The duo rents out windsurf and paddle equipment, organizes courses, hosts events during the summer season and puts two skateboard ramps at your disposal. At the Wesh Center Crew, you can also eat a delicious burger or have a drink, while enjoying a breathtaking view of the pond. A great spot!

Clément, our state-qualified instructor, was very patient even if our group was particularly alert on this board mounted with a 4 meters sail and a wind force close to zero. This is where it gets complicated for the coach. But Clément, as a good teacher and a very good technician, was able to tackle different exercises such as sailing with a crosswind, gybing, tacking, starting to sail upwind... Note that the navigation takes place on the XXL pond of Port Leucate, a particularly beautiful site, with a unique panorama on the Mediterranean. At the end of the course, we received a booklet from the federation with our first level validated. The latest equipment is very well maintained and adapted to all levels. In spite of the light wind, which is very rare here, we had a great time without any headaches and we definitely wanted to pass the second level!

At Roue Libre et Sports you can rent (or buy) your two wheels for the family and there is really something for all levels: from city bikes to mountain bikes, including racing bikes and children's bikes. Moreover, for the less sporty, there are also electrically assisted bikes with a range of about 70 km, enough for a nice ride in the surroundings. Christophe also offers 50 cc scooters, all perfectly maintained and for good reason: Roue Libre et Sports is also a maintenance and repair shop.

L'Atelier Solaire is an association whose vocation is to promote artists and craftsmen. You will find the artist and President of the association Sylvie Pouytes who gives introductory courses in pottery and modeling. She exhibits her own creations and co-creations of large jars, the potteries of Richard Danoun and Martial Ruffin, the sewing of Odette Herrera, the jewelry of Pascaline... here the artists multiply the supports: ceramics, painting, sculpture, drawing... creating unique pieces that one admires and buys within this gallery-workshop.

Lessons are given in shallow water on a site used exclusively by the school. To ensure instant, differentiated instruction, each student is equipped with a helmet and radio. Lessons are limited to a maximum of 4 students per instructor. Access to the spot is by boat only, ensuring total tranquility. Changing rooms, hot showers and WCs are also available on site.
