All equipment is provided, so all you need is your courage to bring home a superb fish... If you prefer to laze around, there are some great sea outings as far as the mouth of the Bidassoa or close to the coast, giving you a unique view of the royal city. Departure is from the Cabane de la Nivelle in the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. You'll discover the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the Flysch cliffs, the Abbadia estate, the Rochers des Deux Jumeaux, Biarritz and the Rocher de la Vierge, the lighthouse...

From Biscarosse, you can reach Capbreton in 1 hours. From the Pontoon B you leave for a sea fishing morning (March to October except July/August). Boarding with Philippe Bisbau and his crew on a Helmsman 750 helmsman. Equipment, bait, everything is provided. A snack is available at 10 pm. Everyone leaves with the fruits of his fishing. The Club Txingudi provides training in all forms of boating and introduces people to water sports. It has over 800 members spread across the anchorages of Txingudi Bay, with 2 sections: sea fishing, sailing and all water sports. Regattas, fishing competitions and nautical rallies are organized. It is also involved in training for all ages, and has its own clubhouse. An association to be supported by donations.

Founded in 1956, SWOT (French Federation of Fishermen at Sea) is dedicated to the promotion and animation (teaching, competitions…) of sport fishing at sea, recreational fishing at sea and casting. The good idea: go to the federation website to carefully consult the charter of commitments and objectives of eco-responsible recreational fishing signed in April 2010 at the Grenelle sea Grenelle. So you will know all about the need for better management of fisheries resources, legislation and penalties that do not respect it. You're warned!

A passionate river angler, Glenn, who is Irish by birth and Basque at heart, has been a fishing instructor-guide in the Basque Country since 2012. He has developed his skills and knowledge of different techniques, which has given him an in-depth understanding of fish behaviour over the seasons. Trained as a hydrobiologist, his playground is the Nive valley (1,300 km of swimmable stretch), the Lauhribar with its tropical vegetation that makes fishing a bit acrobatic, the Nives de Béhérobie, d'Arnéguy, des Aldudes and so on.

Specialized in seaside fishing, we find it everywhere, at the boat show, at the sea festival, at the France-Spain fishing competition, at the Bidassoa challenge and even at the qualifying fishing competition for the French championship.

In the series of gaves, rivers, torrents and streams... the Gave du Saison, the central axis of the Soule, 54 kilometres and 400 kilometres with its tributaries, from the Gave de Larrau and the Gave de Sainte-Engrâce, presents the most beautiful fishing course! Classified in 1st category, this river lends itself to all types of fishing, but mainly to fly fishing or fishing with the toc; the trout are very "biting" from April, wild, called fario! (Specific cartography available at the Tourist Office of Soule de Tardets).

The Nivelle, a European river of 39 km, crosses the Spanish territory and then, in its great majority, the French territory on the communes of Ainhoa, Sare, Ciboure and flows into the bay of St-Jean-de-Luz. Totally classified in 1st category and Index River by the ICES (International Council for the Exploitation of the Sea) and blue axis by the SDAGE (Master plan of Development and Management of Water). We fish the fario trout, present on the Nivelle and in its tributaries (more than 90 streams). Here, 10/100th or 12/100th line leaders are de rigueur.
