CAFÉ HERRIOT
Read moreLocated on Rue Herriot, just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the Prado traffic circle, this little café was opened in January 2023 by Sarah and Justina. A lovely cocoon where you can enjoy a gourmet breakfast of freshly squeezed juice, a hot drink, pastries and jam toast, for example, first thing in the morning. At lunchtime, you can choose from a slate of salads, tartines and a daily special. We love the cosy interior, decorated in a modern, uncluttered style, which makes you want to settle in and stay a while. All day long, the café serves as a tea room, and we'll be delighted to welcome you for a well-deserved break.
OPERA CLUB
Read moreSet in the basement of the prestigious Yerevan opera, the club makes the teeth squealing and heurte. Critics cry about blasphemy, believing that the tubes served by the club as its attendance constitute a desecration of the Armenian music and ballet temple, others on the contrary approving this meeting between two musical worlds that are in the air of the time… But the vast parking lot that is going to be built under the soil-from the Opera is causing uncertainty over the future of this club.
ATLANTIS GARDEN CAFE & DISCO CLUB
Read moreThis club has made a name for itself, particularly because it is located at the entrance to the brand new Avenue du Nord, a prestigious address among all, which tends to drive prices up a bit. Attended by the golden youth from the local oligarchy, the place is open every day, from 7pm, with a DJ officiating at the turntables on techno and dance rhythms. An opportunity to meet the local clubbers, and also Iranians, who have come to Armenia to let off steam for Newroz.
CHEERS PUB
Read moreLocated at the beginning of the famous Abovian street, this club with a cellar decor organizes theme evenings, to the sound of "dance" music with oriental sauce sometimes, but also techno and other big international hits that make the room vibrate with an always overheated and friendly atmosphere, which ends if not in the early morning, at least late in the evening, the after parties not yet planned. For the before, a restaurant has been planned, which serves European and Armenian specialties that without being gastronomic, are quite acceptable.
MALKHAZ JAZZ CLUB
Read moreA club such as we did more at one time in Yerevan, dedicated to jazz, as its sign points out, and whose owner, Levon Malkhazian, himself a pianist, is a fan. The biggest names in Armenian jazz, such as the now famous Armenian Navy band, have performed in this club, where it is also possible to eat mezze or other Armenian or international dishes. Atmosphere guaranteed... and not only to the sound of jazz, until very late at night when the clientele, often numerous, is late to go to bed!
PALAZZO NIGHT CLUB
Read moreThe outskirts of Yerevan have hardly been able to attract clubs and discos, which are currently mainly concentrated in the capital's kentron. The Palazzo, which is a discotheque and not a strip club as its name suggests, is an exception, but it is quite far from the centre of Yerevan, on the road to Achtarak, north of the capital. The fluorescent neon lights on its façade illuminate the dark night. An eclectic music, especially for the tastes of the Russian clientele, which is numerous on the dance floor until 6am.
NIGHT CLUB OMEGA
Read moreThe sign suggests it unambiguously, it is a question of striptease, like most of the establishments in the Armenian capital that claim the name of nightclub. Armenians, like other Caucasians, are fond of it. A male clientele, therefore, especially, but not only, for a show, one suspects it is provided by naked women. The specialty of this large club with a modern decor is the full nude, masked, but not completely of course, behind a water curtain. A wide range of alcoholic beverages fills the glasses.
PIONEER BRAZILIAN RESTAURANT
Read moreLocated in a rather residential area north-west of the Opera, a cabaret that has long boasted the best stripteaseshow in the capital, and which tries to keep itself afloat by also offering football and other images on giant plasma screens... Normal, since Brazil is in the spotlight in this establishment, as the sign says, with samba, baterilla and sequins and its cuisine, renowned here for its meat dishes, upstairs.
VIENNA CAFE
Read moreIn the luxurious and hushed decor of the lounges of the Marriott Hotel, on Republic Square... You will find the atmosphere of a Viennese café, in the broadest sense of the term, since it serves, with elegance and distinction, some twenty different types of coffee accompanied by as many or more varieties of Viennese pastries, Viennese pastries - like black forest - and international pastries. Ideal for business meetings, or romantic dates later in the evening, in an international atmosphere that will take you away from the hustle and bustle of Yerevan.
THEATRE SOUNDOUKIAN
Read moreArmenia boasts theatrical traditions dating back to ancient times. You will be told that Euripides' coins were represented at the court of the Armenian king in Artachat in the first century BC. This 1,140-seat theatre, housed in a building dating from 1966 and designed by architect Raphaël Alaverdian, attempts to perpetuate the tradition. It is named after the Armenian playwright Soundoukian (1825-1912), author of the Armenian theatre classic Pepo. The theatre is located in the intimate setting of the "English Garden" (Ankliakan Aiki).
SALLE DE CONCERTS ARNO BABADJANIAN
Read moreLeaning against the National Gallery, at the corner of Republic Square and Abovian Street, where it has its entrance, like many theatres in the capital, it is named after the great composer of the last century Arno Babadjanian, but presents concerts of lighter music, shows of traditional or folk music and dances from Armenia or other countries, as well as variety shows by local or former USSR singers.
COMPLEXE DE SPORT ET DE CONCERT KAREN DEMIRDJIAN

Two halls with 5,000 and 1,500 seats, connected by revolving stands, host the Chess Olympiads, the Armenia-Diaspora Forum, the Aurora Prize award ceremony... and in 2018, the Francophonie Summit.
SALLE KOMITAS DE MUSIQUE DE CHAMBRE
Read moreLocated on the green belt to the east of the Opera district, this prestigious hall is named after the famous Armenian composer of the early 20th century, who died in France after escaping genocide. There are evenings of organ music, an instrument for which Komitas has composed a lot, and recitals of classical and contemporary music, by Armenian composers such as Arno Babadjanian, or international composers, in a hall with an ultramodern decor.
OPERA SPENDIARIAN
Read moreThis grey stone building built by Tamanian in the neo-Armenian style (for which he won first prize at the 1936 Paris Universal Exhibition) has two halls, one for opera and ballet (1,260 seats), the other for concerts by the philharmonic orchestra (1,400 seats). Armen Tigranian's opera Anouche, inspired by Toumanian who has his statue in the square, is one of the classics of Armenian lyric art, along with Donizetti's Polyeucte, which sings about the conversion of the King of Armenia. A classical repertoire, even though Aznavour performed there.
THEATRE HAMASKAÏNE (SOS SARKISSIAN)
Read moreSituated in the immediate vicinity of Republic Square, this theatre was for a long time directed by one of the greatest actors of Armenian cinema and theatre, Sos Sarksian, who has now passed away, and to whom it owes its name. The theatre was created in the aftermath of independence by an institution born within the Armenian diaspora and dedicated to the protection and dissemination of Armenian culture and language, Hamaskain, which has many other institutions to its credit.
THEATRE DE COMEDIE MUSICALE HAGOP PARONIAN
Read moreNamed after Hagop Paronian, the great master of the early 20th century Armenian-style boulevard theatre in Constantinople, this theatre located on the immediate vicinity of Republic Square specializes in comedy, but not only. In 1998, it hosted a cycle of French theatre, where Feydau and Labiche, of whom Paronian can be considered an Armenian avatar, were far from being the only authors in an eclectic programme.
DJAZVE
Read moreThis café in the foliage of the Opera esplanade is distinguished by its terrace, the largest, which has a "VIP" square that attracts great success. Fast food, ice creams and various desserts are on the menu of this establishment, which is available in its closed version, or "indoor" under the same name "Djazve" (the container in which Armenian coffee is prepared) in other parts of Yerevan. A coffee therefore, without ambition, but an address to start the day or end it in a cool place with a certain comfort.
L’ORANGE
Read moreThis cafe with a cosy, rather lounge-like atmosphere and designer décor with large bay windows, which has another sign on Abovian Street (corner of Sayat Nova Street), is very popular with the youth of Yerevan, who can enjoy a light meal there and still find a wide selection of wine drinks and other cocktails to be sipped in the comfort of an armchair, with a view of the street on the first floor. Hot chocolate is curiously the speciality, so thick that one regrets the absence of churros, compensated by other pastries.
KINO MOSKVA
Read moreCinemas in Yerevan are rare and are mainly located in large shopping centres or malls, one of which has replaced the other large cinema dating from the Soviet era, Kino Rossia. Kino Moskva is the most prestigious. Fitted out in a building from the 1930s, the legendary hall is located opposite the Grand Yerevan Hotel on Aznavour Square, decorated with a pool with water jets. Animation is at its peak in mid-July, with the International Film Festival "Golden Apricot" (Voske Dziran) establishing its quarters in the cinema.
CIRQUE
Read moreLocated south of Republic Square, near the Sourp Krikor Lussavoritch Cathedral, this imposing circular circus dating from the Soviet era is trying to restore the stars to the Armenian circus arts, which were in better shape in Soviet Armenia's time. After major renovation work begun in 2012, the dilapidated hard structure is now much more elegant and able to accommodate more decent performances by acrobats, jugglers, trainers and clowns.
THEATRE DE MARIONNETTES HOVHANNES TOUMANIAN

It is frequented by children, but adults are welcome to see the puppets (khamajik) on stage.
ARTPLEXE CANEBIÈRE
Read moreAnnounced for 2019, the new large cinema on the Canebière will finally be inaugurated in October 2021. A real event intended to give a cultural boost to the main artery of downtown Marseille. The building is a jewel box of modernity, with elegant geometric shapes. The cinema has 7 screens and offers mainstream films as well as a more alternative selection. The comfort and equipment are top of the range. On the first floor, the Blum brasserie. On the roof, an amazing rooftop, the Réformés. A major cultural venue!
GARAGE COMEDY CLUB
Read moreWe knew them by their evenings organized in various places of the city, the Garage Comedy Club of Marseille emancipates itself and opens in September 2021, its own room, entirely dedicated to the stand-up and the improv. Reservations are recommended for each night, you pay the artists by the hat once you are there. Good time and laughter guaranteed. We love the concept, the atmosphere instilled by the organization, the benevolence of the public and the courage of the more or less experienced comedians. The kind of place that Marseille was missing.

TEATRO ARGENTINA
Read moreSince 1816 and the first performance of The Barber of Seville, Teatro Argentina, inaugurated in 1732, has hosted the greatest plays of the classical dramatic repertoire, as well as more modern adaptations. Located on Largo Argentina, it is the headquarters of the Teatro di Roma Foundation and certainly one of the city's most popular theaters, thanks to its eclectic program. If you don't wish to attend a performance, there's a small museum inside, which is only accessible on rare occasions and subject to prior booking.
MURO
Read moreLocated on the campsite, the terrace is the new institution of Venetian trenches at the hour of the aperitif. A delightful bohemian atmosphere. Cabernet or spritz, chardonnay or prosecco, you can choose between French or Italian wines. One thing is sure, taste the ciccheti in the bar. Very correct pizzas too.
ART CAFÉ
Read moreThe Art Café is one of the most exclusive clubs in the capital. Within the very heart of the Villa Borghese, this improbable place offers three rooms with different atmospheres: R&B-latino, house and revival. In other words, there's a lot of excitement in the VIP squares! You will have understood it, to have a tiny chance to enter this trendy and select place, you will have to take care of your look like never before! During the summer, the club travels within the park itself. Rather superficial and you can see me, it is here that we will find all the golden Roman youth.
LE BABY
Read moreA successor of the legendary Poulpason, a true night institution in the Plaine district, the club has become a reference in the small community of Marseille's electronic music. Thanks to a sophisticated programming involving international and local artists, the Baby recently had the honors of the national specialized press. We love the modern decor clubbing, the track and its bar bar, the tables and the bench on the ground floor to extract from the big, the mezzanine equipped with a smomoir and the soundsystem of quality. Programming side: there are local pufts such as Jack de Marseille, the selectors of Radio Grenouille, the members of the Modelism label, or the jokes of the collective Tcheaz. Quality, nothing but quality. One of the last places to dance to the early morning in the neighborhood. Careful, security personnel don't joke.
CAFE FRIENDS
Read moreIf you want to surf the Net with your own computer, install in this cafe at the entrance to Trastevere, the Wi-Fi connection is excellent and free. On the terrace or in the window with windows, you will be able to spend a long time without being specially tempted to eat. A small restaurant is available all day, and in the evening a drink formula with buffet breakfast (from 6 € to 9 €).
ENOTECA FERRARA
Read moreA benchmark enoteca housed in a former convent on one of the liveliest squares in the Trastevere district. Beware, it's not very well signposted from the outside, so look carefully and don't be discouraged! A chic, modern decor with intimate lighting under century-old vaults, a list of a thousand clearly identified wines and refined cuisine are the chefs behind the success of this place. A charming patio is also available to guests. A true Roman oenotheque, where one drinks well and eats well, while remaining in tune with the times.
ROOFTOP ZAMALEK
Read moreThe Zamalek rooftop is a nice place to come for a coffee at the end of the day or a beer in the evening. Its greatest advantage? Its superb view of the Nile. In a 100% Egyptian atmosphere, you can relax behind your glass and enjoy the moment. You can see the capital's biggest hotels, but also the boats cruising on the Nile... and the pollution that is all too often present. Despite this, this is still a great place to spend a relaxing moment in the somewhat chic Zamalek district!
CIRQUE
Read moreUzbekistan has a long tradition of circus and entertainment. In the gigantic circus of Tashkent, the atmosphere is good-natured and the show justifies its price. The architecture of the building itself is worth a look. If you are accompanied by children, they will enjoy the show as much as the festive atmosphere that animates the circus square before and after the performances. It is just unfortunate to endorse the rather deplorable keeping conditions for circus animals that appear to be in rather poor health.
THEATRE MUKHIMI
Read moreFor lovers of musicals, the Mukhimi Theatre in the Chilanzar district specializes in this field. Inaugurated in November 1939, the first performances staged the war against Nazi Germany through plays that were more akin to propaganda. After the war, the operas moved to the new Navoi Opera House, while the Mukimi kept the musical pieces. The shows are in Uzbek, so you have to be really passionate or just love to mingle with the entertainment of the people of Tashkent.
J. SMOKER’S PUB
Read moreA real English pub atmosphere for a business clientele. But it's a good address to drink a beer or a glass of alcohol that will change vodka. To eat, count at least $ 20, not always justified. Service is a bit brodersingers, rates out of proportion, but if you like luxury…
BLUE’S CAFE
Read moreSmall bistro pleasantly decorated with black and white photos and musical instruments. Despite its name, there is little blues here: the soundtrack is more often Uzbek or Russian, outside of live concerts. The menu offers some snacks and good pizzas for dinner. It is one of the oldest local nightlife addresses: the people of Samarkand still go there in the evening and as the room is very small, if you want to have dinner it is sometimes good to book in advance. Small terrace at the back if you prefer to sit outdoors.
CALLE LATINO
Read moreLooking for a party bar? A bar where people don't just stare at each other, but really let loose in a lively Latino atmosphere! Calle Latino is your destination, when the Perrache area takes on Cuban salsa, rumba and Latino tunes. Good music, good spirit, lots of laughs, one of the best, if not the best, mojitos in Lyon, and tasty hot and cold tapas and charcuterie. A true sense of celebration in the unbridled spirit of the South.
LIVINGSTON
Read moreIt's an address that's getting people talking. Perched on Cours Julien, in a street of flamboyant street-art, this surprising wine bar has made a specialty of showcasing "orange wine". An astonishing color for our eyes, but so pleasing for our curious taste buds. The color is obtained by vinifying a white wine close to a red wine. A fine selection of vintages from all over the world. The fine wines are accompanied by the cuisine of the chefs in residence each month, Valentin Raffali, the chef-owner, having embarked on new adventures.
IL BISTROTTO
Read moreIf you're wandering along the Genoese riverside to Bogliasco, the Bistrotto is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. It's one of the most popular meeting places for Genoese, who come here especially at aperitif time for the view and the great tapas, but also for dinner and live concerts. It's here that weekend planning takes place. Don't be shy: ask around for Friday and Saturday night tips, and we'll be happy to oblige!
CMI AFTERPARTY BAR
Read moreThe places for going out are not yet very developed in Tashkent, at least not yet popularized. The CMI is a reflection of what has been going on in the country for decades, and it will be interesting to go there for an unvarnished observation of the golden youth where big cars, evening dresses and high heels parade all night long. The bar is not too much character, and the slate rises quickly. A few good DJs perform regularly. Dress code at the entrance. The same principle applies to the neighbouring Silk 96 restaurant, which belongs to the same band.

RUE HODA SHAARAWI
Read moreHoda Shaarawi Street and the surrounding streets have been annexed by small terraces filled with tables where Cairoites come to hang out with friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed, very pleasant and very local: plastic tables spilling out onto the street, a simple but friendly decor under the trees... People come here for a kawa, tea or hookah in the heart of downtown Cairo. A good time, in an atmosphere that's different from the rest of the city. A must-try before dining in one of the good little restaurants in the area!

Read moreIn this pretty neighborhood bar located on the banks of a canal, Venetians often stop for a drink accompanied by beautiful toast as an appetizer. The house has more than 500 wine labels, with a clear predominance of local vintages. Along the walls, the shelves are lined with these bottles, so you will be spoilt for choice.
