Surprising as it may seem, you can canoe, kayak, pirogue or even stand-up paddle on the Garonne. With its pontoon and slipway, this associative nautical club based at the Chantiers de la Garonne also offers surf training and outings on the ocean. As a member of the club, you'll soon be able to master sea oars and paddle boards! From the clubhouse, you can also take advantage of the breathtaking view over the Garonne to enjoy a beer brewed by the Brasserie de la Lune, which shares the premises.

The lake,, a "little inland sea", is fed by 4 springs and extends over 12 hectares. An ideal place for a vacation, with its extensive leisure facilities. Designed and maintained all year round, it offers a wide range of water sports in complete safety: canoeing, kayaking, waterslides, pedal boats... Several play areas are available for children on the 700 m of supervised beach in July and August. There's also a fitness trail, tennis courts, volleyball courts, picnic areas and camper van parking.

The best time to explore the joys of river sliding is from April to November. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll enjoy gliding down the Pas de Roland gorges, a listed natural site, following the river's capricious course in the heart of a wild environment. You'll be spoilt for choice of activities, including rafting, canorafting, hydrospeed, stand-up paddle, tubing and more. You can also go canyoning, aquarando, climbing, caving and much more.

In each office, you'll be able to hire all the equipment you need for surfing and other related activities. A vehicle will accompany you to the spots where lessons take place. And on a day-to-day basis, you can learn to surf, bodyboard, stand-up paddle board and alternative activities when the sea is too flat. Alone, as a couple, with the family or in a group, Océan Aventure will meet your expectations perfectly.

For safe family bathing on the Arcachon basin, the Lanton swimming pool is ideal. Young and old alike will have the time of their lives on the seawater (supervised from July¹ to August 31). During the high season, you can also take part in a range of fun and sporting activities. Note that this beach has been awarded the Handiplage label for its facilities for people with reduced mobility. You'll be seduced not only by the practicality, but also by the beauty of the landscape.

Mimizan is known for his surfing champions and body board. So, to compare yourself to these talented athletes, a traineeship with the Maeva Surf Club won't be too much. Induction or development courses, with state-run monitors, for adults and children.

What's on the agenda? Discovering kitesurfing, learning to windsurf, wakeboarding or foiling (that's new!), a leisurely paddle or canoe trip.... And a good dose of fun on water skis, but especially on a towed buoy with the whole family (up to 8 people), guaranteed fun! Created in 2007, this association "law 1901" affiliated to the French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports (FFESSM) gathers passionate volunteers. Lake or sea explorations, baptisms... Accessible from 10 years old, the Club has a slot at the Aygueblue aquatic center on Friday evening for winter dives. You will find this Landes underwater school at the Rey beach, behind the snack bar Le Cabanon, two fins away from the Hossegor canal; a unique shallow natural area. The deep dives off Capbreton are reserved for the initiated.

Nestling in the heart of the town of Soustons, the lake stretches as far south as the village of Azur. At the Parc de la Pointe des Vergnes, you can enjoy the natural surroundings and observe grey herons, squirrels and wagtails. It comprises three pools: an indoor sports pool with bleachers, a water play area, a paddling pool, a 150 m² indoor learning pool and a 25 m Nordic pool with six lanes for swimming and diving. Training, entertainment, relaxation... That's the program of this aquatic center located at the foot of the Basque Rhune. It is in this life-size postcard that visitors are welcomed, whether they are beginners or experienced swimmers, children or adults. The center is divided into several areas so that everyone can find their way around: a sports pool for swimming in water lines, free swimming and lessons, a fun pool with massaging jets, a paddling pool and two slides. With 30 years' experience, Fabrice, an ex-competitive swimmer with a passion for waves and surfing, teaches all generations with skill and passion. Between Bidart, Guéthary and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, you'll learn and enjoy surfing the best spots on the coast. The quality of his teaching is recognized thanks to his pedagogy and his ability to adapt to all levels, from the youngest to the oldest. Aquabike, prenatal aquagym, swimming school and courses, aquaphobia, water jump, restaurant, fitness classes, balneotherapy area... The UCPA Aqua Stadium in Mérignac is a great aquatic and sports destination! While the complex has been designed to control, reduce and optimize water, heating and electricity consumption, it is also a national competition center. Between the ocean and the Izadia ecological park, Anglet's Skate Park extends over 2,500 m². Here you can practice both skating and rollerblading. There are two bowls and a street area with slopes and other modules. BMX is also available, and helmets are compulsory. Right next to the Skate Park, there's an area dedicated to toddlers, where they can skate. It's easy to get to, with ample parking and catering facilities.

Since 1967, the Pôle nautique de Soustons-Plage has been an institution in the Landes for welcoming groups. With transport and accommodation service! Otherwise, you come for a few hours of surfing from the age of 7, to try your hand at windsurfing from the age of 5, to try out the mini catamaran, rent a canoe, kayak or paddle or sign up for a 12 km ride on the current. Surf Session is a surfing magazine published in France. It tracks good waves, offers a weather report, gives news and the site has opened a "surfers" section. The oldest French surf magazine was founded in 1986 by Gibus de Soultrait and Pierre Bernard-Gascogne in Biarritz. It remains the^first French surfing magazine and still leader on its market. For over 35 years, Pyrénées Aventures Nouvelles has been offering canyoning trips, combined with caving, hiking and climbing in the Soule canyons, from the village's nautical base. Samuel and Olivier, qualified instructors, will introduce you to fun and sporting activities in a world combining mineral and plant life. It's a unique, fun experience for 3-year-olds and over to discover the bowels of the Earth and share the passion of our instructors.

Stade Montois canoë-kayak organizes self-guided canoe trips on the Midouze. Half-day or full-day trips are available on a calm, shady river, accessible to paddlers of all levels. You can observe the flora and fauna of this river, nicknamed the Little Amazon for its amber color due to iron hydroxide.

Thanks to the Urpean diving club, you can discover some of the most varied sites on the Basque coast, either solo or accompanied, including the "morutier" wreck at San Sebastian in Spain. Just a few motor turns from the port of Hendaye, the "wall" is one of the most beautiful dives, with a rich and varied fauna. Whether you're looking for a snorkeling trip, a first dive for children or adults, Level 1 or Nitrox training, the club is open to all. And you can also improve your skills by passing your Level 2.

On the famous Cavaliers beach in Anglet, 5 minutes from Biarritz, Mathieu and his team of qualified instructors, with over 20 years' experience, organize, advise and introduce surfing to all ages. The school is certified by the French Surfing Federation. Lessons are scheduled according to the tides. In rough weather, the surf school can take you to more suitable spots. Lessons, courses, school and accommodation are also available during the week. The surf school has a new permanent structure on the beach, with an on-site shower.

Yak'Ocean offers you a wide range of activities to discover the Arcachon basin in complete privacy, including Île aux Oiseaux, cabanes tchanquées, Dune du Pilat, Banc d'Arguin and Lac de Cazaux-Sanguinet (40). From April to November, the CitySurf shuttle takes you close to the waves from Bordeaux. Managed by surfing professionals, the school has been awarded the "Ecole Française de Surf" label, and accompanies you to the ocean to learn to surf or improve your skills. You can find the team at the Boardriders store or directly at the Garonne beach in Cap-Ferret, where lessons are given every weekend during the same period. The school is open to everyone aged 7 and over. There are also courses and surf camps with accommodation in the Basque Country and Portugal.

The professional team at PlanetOcean in Hendaye offers individual or group diving sessions from the Betiko all year round. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced diver, we offer training courses at various levels. For beginners, the DSD experience (one pool dive and one sea dive) and snorkeling trips are ideal. NCKD invites you to explore the splendor of the Basque Country by canoe or kayak under the supervision of an experienced instructor. NCKD, as a small itinerant structure, designs its excursions to measure, adapting its programs according to weather conditions.

The Leyre, sometimes referred to as the "little Amazon", lends itself wonderfully to a trip on the water. Amazone Canoë offers full-day and half-day tours. Nathaniel will take you up the river to its delta. Discover the wild flora and fauna of the area and let yourself glide downstream. The Leyre is a veritable biological conservatory, home to remarkable and original flora and fauna. Courant d'Eyre offers a wide range of canoeing and kayaking activities on the Little Amazon, including full-day, half-day, morning and afternoon trips. From the age of 10, Les Guides de Bains Angloys introduces you to coastal lifesaving, with first aid training. Affiliated with the French Lifesaving Federation, the club prepares you for your lifeguard diploma. If you're in good physical condition and comfortable in the water, these courses will give you a better understanding of the ocean, its waves and currents. And take part in competitions! Discover the ocean and the thrill of surfing at Max Respect - a French surf school accredited since 1997 - in a friendly, caring atmosphere where you can share your passion for surfing. Our qualified and experienced instructors offer teaching adapted to all levels, from beginners to advanced surfers. Introducing the little ones to swimming and entertaining them on the beach is the mission of Club La Vigne, which offers supervised lessons and games for children up to 18 years of age. These are held on the beach, for a half-day ticket. Children who swim like fish in water can improve their skills and take swimming certificates, while younger children can take introductory swimming lessons. Evening activities, bike rides, sports tournaments... And for adults? Boat trips to the Dune du Pilat, CrossFit and gymnastics.

When you arrive in Montalivet by the coast, you often have the surprise of seeing sails moving fast on the beach. A mirage?
