The flower market is located on the square of the church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, also called Saint Peter and Saint Paul's Cathedral. The show is impressive, because it is a profusion of colors like the beaks of parrots, the balisiers, the roses of porcelain, the heliconias... Many Guadeloupeans, very practising Catholics, go there to make offerings of flowers. It is possible to buy tropical flowers or plants to take in the hold or to have them delivered directly to the airport, in an adapted packaging.

Garden Center

Mac Intosh is Martinique'sleading producer of exotic flowers. For 40 years, heliconias, red balisiers, red alpinias and porcelain roses have flourished on this 70-hectare site. The horticultural plantation is still run as a family business, now with Harold Marraud des Grottes, who has launched Fleurs lointaines. The principle is simple: flowers grown as naturally as possible are cut and harvested the same day they are flown to mainland France. Fleurs lointaines is renowned for its respect for nature.
