Mac Intosh is Martinique's^leading producer of exotic flowers. For 40 years, heliconias, red balisiers, red alpinias and porcelain roses have flourished on this 70-hectare site. The principle is simple: flowers grown as naturally as possible are cut and harvested the same day they are flown to mainland France. Fleurs lointaines is renowned for its respect for nature.

Within the Jardins-Forêts de Sainte-Cécile, Hervé Damicot founded the Syntropic Nursery, the result of the principles of syntropic agriculture implemented in the garden. The nursery's vocation is to apply the principles of syntropic agriculture, which are autonomous, resilient and protectiveof the environment. The nursery now produces thousands of plants a month. Seeds are harvested in their natural zones, placed in micro-cots or bamboo pots before being fed in greenhouses with natural nutrients and then marketed.
