Dear cognac of cognac, we are sorry to announce that the Wine Route is not particularly worn on cognac. We regret that, but we can do nothing. In the absence of an amateur, you can visit the shop where you are very well welcomed and the site is very well done and offers numerous references of delicious wines.

La Cave de Baille has expanded and refurbished both its boutique and its restaurant and wine bar areas. With almost 1,200 references of wines, vintage eaux-de-vie and spirits. To take away or enjoy on the premises during Thursday wine evenings with local tapas. Ask for advice from Hugo, the cellar master. This Montpellier native, now assisted by Olivier, comes from a family of winegrowers and likes to introduce enthusiasts to small wine and champagne producers, wines from his region, the Languedoc, Laubade vintages, a selection of rums, his whisky cellar... Saturday Wine Fever is now available at the cellar, with a unique menu themed by the chef, such as the products of Aveyron, with rib of Aubrac beef and aligot.

CAVES FONDERE

Wine Cellar Wine House

Here we advise novices for their beginnings in the discovery of the nectar of this nectar, help to choose the ideal bottle, depending on whether it is intended for a man or a woman… and finally we are refining the tastes of connoisseurs to make them discover a bottle more appreciated than the previous one. Indeed, this cellar regularly runs its stock by sourcing from new producers. In short, here the advice is paramount, the welcome is charming and the contents of the cellar enchanting. France is the country of wine par excellence, but not all French are amateurs capable of making the difference between a coteaux-en-provence or a Bordeaux! You can only come out of this place enchanted by the good mood of the boss, and the water in the mouth, impatient to taste this little treasure that was helped to find you.

LE CLOS SAINTE MAGDELEINE

Wine Cellar Wine House

1 review

Cassis wines, AOC since 1936! Clos Sainte-Magdeleine has belonged to the Zafiropulo family since 1920, but its history goes back much further. The estate is said to be the oldest vineyard in Cassis. The earliest written records of the Cassidain vineyard, dating from the late 14th century, place a vineyard on the exact site of Clos Sainte Magdeleine. At the end of the 19th century, Jules Savon, the village's former mayor, revived the vineyard. He even won a gold medal for his white wine at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900. The vineyard's fine reputation is due to a wine made from grapes bathed in sunshine and swept by the air of the sea below. Clos Sainte Magdeleine's specialty is white wine, which accounts for almost 80% of total production, with the remaining 20% allocated to rosé. Some wines are now certified organic.

CAVES DE L’ABBAYE

Wine Cellar Wine House

Located under a magnificent porch on rue Sainte, the Caves de l'Abbaye invite you to enter and get lost. A huge barrel at the entrance, then a first room where the bottles are cleverly hung on the walls, followed by a more intimate second: the refined universe radically changes from the other cellars in the city. It should be noted that since the beginning of 2018, the cellar has offered itself a small makeover to welcome you even better and better present its best choices as soon as you enter. As for the wines, we found excellent regional wines and rather judicious choices in other domains of France. To remember, the tasting evenings. Sale of arranged rums and other spirits.

POUR DU VIN NAT (H)

Wine Cellar Wine House

Who would have thought that natural wine could be produced in the heart of Marseille? And yet, this is exactly what Nathalie Cornec has been passionately working on since 2015, in her winemaking facility near the Saint-Charles train station. A project launched long before the "natural wine" wave arrived in the Phocaean city two or three years ago. A true city dweller, Nathalie harvests in the Ardèche and Luberon regions, then vinifies in her urban cellar in Marseille. A unique case indeed. The wines are chemical-free. At the end of the day, you can come and buy your bottles.
