At the Ranch des Lamberts, horse riding is based on a behavioral approach to the horse, allowing each individual to progress at his or her own pace and create a close relationship with the animal. Baby pony sessions, courses from beginner to advanced rider, trail rides between land and estuary, lake rides, nature rides, vino rando... there's something for everyone! Ideally located at the foot of La Rhune, the Larrun Alde riding center in Urrugne offers you the chance to discover the pleasures of horseback riding in the heart of nature. Both male and female riders can enjoy the beauty of the Basque countryside. The center's team will take you in complete safety, to varying degrees of distance depending on the course and level. At the pace of horses, ponies and mules, it's the ideal way to discover the mythical tracks and trails used by smugglers.

With his in-depth knowledge of the Basque mountains, he can guide you on 3- to 7-day tours, including bivouacs, through places such as Hendaye, Ossès, Roncevaux and the Saison valley. In addition, 2-hour rides for beginners and day excursions on horseback are also on the program.

In addition to the boat and canoe trips offered by the Maison de la Nature du Bassin d'Arcachon, located at the entrance to the Parc Ornithologique, there is another area dedicated to nature and family leisure activities. This leisure center has over 20 years' experience in welcoming the public. Here (almost) everything is possible: kayak or canoe hire, with a choice of two routes of 10 or 20 km, bike hire for exploring the basin's trails, and guided horseback rides in the forest and along the river (allow 1 hour).

Jean-Charles De Cours is at the head of the Cazettes domain, an equestrian center where 120 members trust him to practice their passion. A complete stable welcomes horses, ponies and shetlands and offers lessons for all levels and all ages. In summer, by appointment, rides on the hillsides are organized. Welcome to Ecuries Mont Royal! Dressage, show jumping, cross-country, competition, pony games... And accompanied rides. Taking advantage of a vast 12-hectare playground, the Mont Royal stables have mapped out two signposted routes for shetland rides for 3-year-olds and over (30 min). Allow 1 hour for accompanied forest walks. The outing to Lac d'Azur (2h) is for experienced riders. On site, the traditional half-timbered house dating from 1891 has been converted into a 4-bedroom gîte... and stalls for your horses, of course!
