In the morning at sunrise, or in the evening at dusk, take to the skies in a hot-air balloon over the valley of countless castles. It's an unforgettable journey between heaven and earth, a time to marvel at and discover the Périgord Noir in a whole new way, with its wild, sumptuous landscapes and exceptional heritage. Flights are available all year round, weather permitting. During the high season, flights are scheduled at dawn or dusk. Allow three hours in all, including inflation, flight and return. Sud-Ouest Montgolfière is a tourist ballooning agency based in Pau. They offer several balloon flight packages to discover the region's natural beauty. Once the flight has been scheduled, passengers are welcomed by the flight team, who explain the flight procedure and safety instructions. Passengers help prepare the balloon before boarding with the other passengers. The flight lasts at least 45 minutes, and includes safety briefings, participation in the inflation and storage of the balloon, a toast by the balloonist and the return to the launch site by car. Flights take place in the morning, and passengers can choose their launch site between the Pau region, Oloron Sainte Marie, Val d'Azun or Salies de Béarn. Fares vary according to the number of passengers and take-off location. We recommend that you book in advance and inform us of the weight of your passengers.
