Every summer, the festival lights up the children's vacations for a few days in Maizières-lès-Metz. La Marelle, which has been running for over 17 years, gives youngsters the chance to discover over a dozen shows and take part in a variety of creative workshops (cooking, plastic arts, sensory garden, theater...). From burlesque to music; dance, puppetry or shadow theater: children will be thrilled. Every year, other events in the park are open to the public.

Since 1960, the municipal theatre has been well established in Lorraine. The hall offers the public a capacity of 1,000 seats, one of the largest in the region! The hall opens 30 minutes before the show and a free cloakroom is available for your convenience. A wide range of choices makes the theatre's programming one of the most diversified and interesting. Theatre but also opera, dance, comedy, shows for young audiences or variety shows are programmed to satisfy a large number of people. The theatre bar is open before and after the show. After its longstanding dedication to the discovery of South American music, the festival continues its encounters with talent from the world of classical music. The convent of Saint-Ulrich hosts the festival and organizes training courses and artist residencies around different themes. For example: young baroque musicians or young symphonists from Moselle.

Every two years since 2013, La Biennale de la Danse offers two months of shows and performances around contemporary dance. At the origin of the event, there is the André Malraux cultural centre in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, and the national stages in Bar-le-Duc and Forbach, with the obvious support of the Ballet de Lorraine. Subsequently, the event grew in size, to about thirty venues in the Grand-Est. A veritable laboratory for contemporary creation, which showcases both regional companies and troupes from all over the world.

The photographic event is organized biannually by the Observatoire Photographique du Grand Est, a structure that came into being after the International Image Biennial came to an end. The first edition of this event took place in 2021 on the theme of "Des arbres et des hommes" ("Trees and people"). In 2023, the featured photographers - both established professionals and up-and-coming artists - will work on the theme of "Dancing with the Earth". Artistic and cultural workshops, screenings, concerts, conferences and workshops will also be on the program.

THE street arts event! Created in 2006, the Michtô festival continues to develop, to bring together young and old, circus and street art lovers, around a hundred shows and festive activities over a month, in a spirit of sharing and good humor... The festival takes place on the site of Grand Sauvoy, rue de la Solidarité, on the border between Nancy and Maxéville. It is also the highlight of the Memô, a factory for circus and street arts, located on the former site of the Brasseries de Maxéville. A real daydream!

RING for Rencontres internationales des nouvelles générations. Set up by Michel Didym, director of the Théâtre de la Manufacture, this festival takes place every two years and advocates the opening of theater to all audiences. It highlights new forms of theatrical expression, contemporary and committed, which shake up genres and codes, without borders: the companies come from all over Europe and elsewhere. The RING festival also includes meetings, debates, concerts and... a lot of fun!

The Bibasse Convention is a juggling festival that has been held every year for the past 8 years, at the end of May, at the MJC 3 Maisons. Four days dedicated to the circus arts and live entertainment, with performances in the street and under the big top, workshops and initiation workshops, open stages, gala, parade, games... A show for the general public, but which also allows artists to meet, work together and improve their skills in a warm atmosphere, with camping and parties in the big top. Reservations strongly recommended.

Since 2001, Scenes at the bar have become the indispensable rendez-vous for lovers of the art of the show. More and more places are available in Thionville and in the Fensch valley. The Hop Hop Hop festival is a hit! This cross-border open-air show is a huge success. Colorful and dynamic, Hop Hop Hop is a cultural kick in the pants!

Every year at the beginning of the summer, the Douëra park comes alive for the Douëraphonies and is transformed into an "ephemeral musical village". On the program of the festivities, local concerts of pop, rock, variety and current music, as well as animations for children. A small restaurant and a refreshment bar, located at the entrance and stands of jewelry and other handicrafts installed on the site bring a warm atmosphere, very friendly to this small musical event that always delights its audience!

Every year, at the beginning of July, the Ville Haute district puts on its Renaissance costume. For one weekend, heritage and street arts are honored during three intense days. Animations and strolls take place in the courtyards, in the public squares and in the gardens of some private individuals. Discover the Festival Market with its flavors, smells, sounds and gestures. Nearly 60 exhibitors are present each year. This event of great notoriety is also part of an environmental approach.

It is on this grassy field that many events take place in the summer. On occasion, free concerts of great artists are often scheduled at 9pm, in the open air: Eddy Mitchell, Stephan Eicher, Zazie, Christophe Maé, etc. The opening acts are also worth a visit. A great moment to enjoy the beautiful season to the sound of current music in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. La Semaine de l'Impro, created in 2010, has become a not-to-be-missed event in Nancy for discovering or rediscovering this festive and collective form of theater. The festival, conceived by the Crache-Texte company and the Impro Nancy association, features performances at the Théâtre Mon Désert of theatrical, musical, clowning, audiovisual and literary improvisation, as well as happenings by artists from Brazil, Colombia, Belgium and the USA. Workshops open to all and a grand gala match at the Salle Poirel round off the program.

The program of the Rencontres Théâtrales de Tomblaine: to make culture accessible to the greatest number of people and to make the artistic fiber of the Grand Nancy vibrate. Many professional shows of great quality are proposed. Masterclasses and exhibitions also take place, as well as amateur shows presented by local groups, colleges and high schools of the territory. In all, nearly 10,000 visitors and more than 1,000 young people are involved, a dynamic that makes the festival the most important theatrical event in the region.

Le Trait d'Union is 3 000^m2 of space dedicated to culture. It is the main professional tool for artistic creation and diffusion in the western Vosges. Since 2003, the cultural space actively participates in the dynamics of the department. If you pass by Neufchâteau, do not hesitate to consult the program of the Trait d'Union also put on line on the site of the community of communes. Each year, the team proposes about fifty events: theater, music, humor, young audience, dance, exhibitions, meetings as well as conferences.

The Nancy Jazz Pulsations music festival in the fall moves to the Parc de la Pépinière for a Sunday, a family day with many free concerts. In September, Pépinière en Vert also becomes a large plant market where more than 90 exhibitors offer their products and crafts and the Emile Gallé prize is awarded to a literary work related to horticulture. Pépinière en Fête manages to make us forget the nostalgia of the summer period and to anticipate the arrival of pumpkins and other cucurbits.

After a long winter, Spinaliens love to get together in the streets of the town center to celebrate the return of fine weather. Every summer, free concerts and shows are offered to the public. For the little ones, there are burlesque shows (mime, clown, singer) every Wednesday afternoon at 3pm in the Parc du Château. As for adults, head for the emblematic Place des Vosges, where a concert takes place every Friday evening. A wonderful initiative that deserves to be highlighted!

Since 2023, the Prioral Church of Saint-Quirin, with its magnificently restored organ, has been hosting a top-class festival that has been a resounding success from the outset. The Saint-Marien church in Vic-sur-Seille is now associated with the event, with the programming of one of the concerts. The event mobilizes numerous volunteers and the Amis de l'Orgue association. Audiences appreciate the fact that it's free, and above all the quality of the musicians who take part in this cultural event.

Since it was founded in 1978, the Fénétrange Festival has been promoting classical music, with major international artists showcasing their virtuosity. The Fénétrange Festival revolves around both music and gastronomy. It's a delicious marriage that also highlights the town's historic heritage. The "music followed by a meal" formula has been on the menu in Fénétrange since 1992, the year dedicated to Rossini, when a complete meal was organized according to the composer's original recipes..

A production by FAA, Fabrique Autonome des Acteurs, which brings together artists and researchers. They bring their disciplines into dialogue, create, study, invent, ask questions, find answers and even better questions.
