Every summer, the festival lights up the children's vacations for a few days in Maizières-lès-Metz. La Marelle, which has been running for over 17 years, gives youngsters the chance to discover over a dozen shows and take part in a variety of creative workshops (cooking, plastic arts, sensory garden, theater...). From burlesque to music; dance, puppetry or shadow theater: children will be thrilled. Every year, other events in the park are open to the public.

In addition to the semi marathon, a 5 km race is available to fans. It has a single loop with 90% forest routes and 10% roads. A good way to relax in the region!

Since 1960, the municipal theatre has been well established in Lorraine. The hall offers the public a capacity of 1,000 seats, one of the largest in the region! The hall opens 30 minutes before the show and a free cloakroom is available for your convenience. A wide range of choices makes the theatre's programming one of the most diversified and interesting. Theatre but also opera, dance, comedy, shows for young audiences or variety shows are programmed to satisfy a large number of people. The theatre bar is open before and after the show. The Meeting Stanislas du Grand Nancy is a major event of the French athletics federation. It is an international competition where great athletes and hopefuls come to prepare their summer season. The Meeting Stanislas (12 events scheduled and thousands of spectators at each edition) is in the (good) hands of the NAM, the Nancy Athletics Metropolis and ensures to remain a major event in the field. Its thirty years of existence impose respect. A great crowd to meet in June, at the Raymond-Petit stadium in Tomblaine!

The Stanislas Seven is an international men's and women's rugby 7s tournament that takes place in the spring at the Matter Stadium. It brings together national and regional senior teams as well as specialized clubs and associations for two days. The different teams compete in pools and then in elimination matches. This competition attracts more and more international teams, giving rise to very beautiful tables against national selections of very high level. Many teams prepare their 7-a-side rugby season here... A success!

A road race in the city of Thaon-les-Vosges and its gardens. Music will punctuate the passage of the runners in the city and the spectators will be numerous especially as the participants of the race will pass in front of the Christmas market. So sign up quickly for this winter round which promises to be very friendly and festive!

Discover the tenniswomen ! The Waves Open 57 has become the most important women's tournament on the National Grand Tour! The tennis courts of Moulins-Lès-Metz host a first-rate women's competition. Organized with great skill by a hundred volunteers, the event has become a reference in France in its category (CNGT). It is therefore logical to see French players such as Aravane Rezaï, Mathilde Johansson and Nathalie Tauziat, who has already played the Waves Open 57 in doubles, arrive in Moselle for a tournament. Go and vibrate with these champions, they have backhanders that are worth the men's!

The streets of Metz's pedestrian plateau remain reserved for thousands of women for a good cause: they run with a pink T-shirt for the fight against breast cancer. Every year, "La Messine" grows in size and helps finance both research against the disease and support missions for those affected. Mountain biking enthusiasts are looking forward to… You form a team that relays for 24 hours around a circuit of a dozen kilometers. Some enlightened contest the "solitary" test, others choose to disguise when most play her. Adrenaline insured to face the tortuous paths of the plateau of Rozérieulles when the night falls. Since 1989, this race has gone beyond simple cycling, an invitation to adventure and to meet. A gigantic camp rises on the heights of Metz each team installs its tents, campers and equipment. The Société lorraine d'astronomie is a major meeting place for astronomy enthusiasts and professionals, whether they are curious or in love with the sky. Located in the Faculty of Science and Technology in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, the association has a dome, but public observation evenings are often organised in the countryside to benefit from clear skies. During the major annual national events (Nuits des Étoiles, Science en Fête, etc.), the members of the association are available to the public for evenings of discovery accessible to the greatest number.

Every two years since 2013, La Biennale de la Danse offers two months of shows and performances around contemporary dance. At the origin of the event, there is the André Malraux cultural centre in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, and the national stages in Bar-le-Duc and Forbach, with the obvious support of the Ballet de Lorraine. Subsequently, the event grew in size, to about thirty venues in the Grand-Est. A veritable laboratory for contemporary creation, which showcases both regional companies and troupes from all over the world.

The photographic event is organized biannually by the Observatoire Photographique du Grand Est, a structure that came into being after the International Image Biennial came to an end. The first edition of this event took place in 2021 on the theme of "Des arbres et des hommes" ("Trees and people"). In 2023, the featured photographers - both established professionals and up-and-coming artists - will work on the theme of "Dancing with the Earth". Artistic and cultural workshops, screenings, concerts, conferences and workshops will also be on the program.

THE street arts event! Created in 2006, the Michtô festival continues to develop, to bring together young and old, circus and street art lovers, around a hundred shows and festive activities over a month, in a spirit of sharing and good humor... The festival takes place on the site of Grand Sauvoy, rue de la Solidarité, on the border between Nancy and Maxéville. It is also the highlight of the Memô, a factory for circus and street arts, located on the former site of the Brasseries de Maxéville. A real daydream!

At the end of September, at the end of the autonomous, the performances that warm the hearts are played. RING for Rencontres internationales des nouvelles générations. Set up by Michel Didym, director of the Théâtre de la Manufacture, this festival takes place every two years and advocates the opening of theater to all audiences. It highlights new forms of theatrical expression, contemporary and committed, which shake up genres and codes, without borders: the companies come from all over Europe and elsewhere. The RING festival also includes meetings, debates, concerts and... a lot of fun!

The Bibasse Convention is a juggling festival that has been held every year for the past 8 years, at the end of May, at the MJC 3 Maisons. Four days dedicated to the circus arts and live entertainment, with performances in the street and under the big top, workshops and initiation workshops, open stages, gala, parade, games... A show for the general public, but which also allows artists to meet, work together and improve their skills in a warm atmosphere, with camping and parties in the big top. Reservations strongly recommended.

Organized by the ASPTT Nancy Meurthe-et-Moselle, this race takes place on the famous Saint-Nicolas day. A family and festive event above all: the 10 km race is a loop with no significant difference in altitude, in cobbled streets and alleys of the park, to be completed four times. At the end of the draw, participants will receive numerous prizes and bonuses at the finish line. A "family race" starts at around 12:00, for all, without medical certificate.

The 10 ^th edition of Meuse Madine Camping Car to be held on the shores of Lake Madine is a pleasant spring meeting. If you would like to visit the Tourist and Camping Bus, which will take place on this occasion, you will be able to find out that entry and parking will be free. You will discover new excursions, new animations… not forgetting the traditional nature, musical evenings, aperitifs' General Tour 'and the local market. All the ingredients that make this event the time of a great weekend around the great Lake of the Meuse.

In 2018, this is the 17 ^th edition of Bik 'Saulx! Would you like to discover the Saulx Valley differently? Why not do it in ATV? With steep paths, on the road or through the forests, the association "Sports and Discovery to Jean d 'Heurs" proposes to join you to participate in this sporting event which is intended to be warm and whose objective is not to win, but to make fun. Several courses are designed so that everyone can find their account. You can choose from 20 to 55 km. The departure takes place from the Stables of Jeand 'Heurs to Lisle-en-Rigault. Don't forget your bikes!

If you want to discover local products, the Holiday Festival is made for you. Over two days, various animations will be organized in May. After a meal in the ballroom, everyone will go to the church of Senones to listen to Te Deum by the ensemble Stradivavia in Nantes. This is the day after the twinning mass. Several small growers will also be rewarded before lunch. In the afternoon, conferences, tastings and concerts are underway.

Kite lovers, meet for two events organized by the club Est-Air. In spring, Eurovolies, at the racecourse, gives to see free static or acrobatic flights, with many kite pilots and kite creators from France and neighbouring countries. Every year, in the Sainte-Marie park, more than 120 craftsmen, horticulturists, gardeners, nurserymen, landscapers, gather for a weekend to show you their beautiful crops and their latest creations. We also think of spoiling you, with stands of producers of delicatessen, cheese, jams, ice creams and other local wonders. Over the years, this event has become an opportunity to talk with real professionals and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in one of the most beautiful parks in the city.

The Potters' Market is an event that takes place every year, in the summer and at Christmas, during the art market organized by Métiers d'art métropole. Among all these craftsmen, come and meet the ceramists who are ready to enlighten you on their know-how, their ideas, their techniques and their universe. Sculptures, vases, teapots and glasses delicately shaped, unique dishes beautifully decorated, small figurines and other original creations where colors and materials are combined wonderfully are presented for our greatest pleasure...

Organized by the association TEKHNE, this event takes place every two years in Nancy and nearby cities and allows the general public to discover the work of local artists. Over a weekend, more than 200 artists open the doors of their studios to present their work and their latest creations. The next edition will be held in 2023, so don't forget to get a map of all the open studios to plan your route.

Every two years, students from all over eastern France gather at the 24h de Stan to race around the Place Carrière on gigantic floats decorated according to a theme. Artistic shows, parades, games and tombolas are organized in parallel, and each school has a stand in the square. The atmosphere is good-natured, and the prizes awarded are mostly symbolic and humorous. The event ensures Nancy's reputation as a student city, as young people take over the city to celebrate student life in just 24 hours!

Do you think you're better off Sunday than Experienced runner? There is no fear of sporting competitions! On 13 July in Tournai, the Tricolore Tricolore will suit you perfectly. In the programme: two adult races 2,5 km and 10 km, as well as a test "P'tits meet" of 800 m. Changing on a very rolling loop, the courses show no difficulty. So choose your challenge, put the trainers together, and make yourself among the 300 participants expected that day!

Every year at the beginning of the summer, the Douëra park comes alive for the Douëraphonies and is transformed into an "ephemeral musical village". On the program of the festivities, local concerts of pop, rock, variety and current music, as well as animations for children. A small restaurant and a refreshment bar, located at the entrance and stands of jewelry and other handicrafts installed on the site bring a warm atmosphere, very friendly to this small musical event that always delights its audience!

The Station station, or the Hermitage Brother Joseph, offers in addition to its alpine ski slopes three other cross-country ski slopes to try the winter sports. Three levels are proposed: a very easy one kilometre school, ideal for its first steps on the snow; a second km track, La, marked in blue and accessible to beginners; and the 3 km Pine trail, more sporty, which joins the area of Bussang. To take Advantage of school holidays, the northern domain of La - Lispach organizes the Nordic Family Trophy every Friday from February 13 to March 6. This annual event is aimed at families more than experienced athletes. The principle is simple: Each team, composed of an adult and a child, has to take a course mixing cross-country skiing and shooting to the laser rifle. No panic, the course is easy, especially designed for beginners, and framed by monitors. An ideal place to spend time with your children! Often overshadowed by other battles with more familiar names, the Battle of Vaux-Marie nevertheless played an important role in the retreat of German troops.
