3.5/5
2 reviews

This confeitaria installed in an old stone house with a terrace overlooking the Tâmega river makes homemade pastries and regional cakes. The Portuguese sweets to choose from in the window are a marvel and the offer is great: bolo de São Gonçalo, papos de anjo, foguetes, brisas... To be tasted preferably by the river, a real delight. The Confeitaria da Ponte dates from 1930 and is popular with the Portuguese who go there every day. The coffee is excellent. The welcome is quite good but can vary according to the day.

It takes about 25 minutes to get there by car from Lamego. The visit lasts one hour. At the end you will be strongly tempted to buy one or more bottles to take home or to offer to relatives.
