The menu also includes a wide range of teas, so don't hesitate to ask the waiter for advice if you're hesitating between two flavors - they know their stuff. The Temple Coffee chain has several other establishments in Sacramento, in case you become a fan of the brand... Which here is an institution.

A Sports bar a little chic where you can watch the games in the evening thanks to the 22 flat screens in the bar and a great sound system, while tasting one of the 60 draft beers at the counter. Some of which they produce themselves in this micro-brewery which has all the decor. As often, the happy hour is very economical with dishes and drinks at mini prices. Nice bar and restaurant facing the bay, in the new trendy district of Dogpatch. We fell in love with the location, because an aperitif facing the ocean is still a must on vacation. Go there around 6pm, when thehappy hour is in full swing and it's full of hilarious hipsters, and enjoy the terrace with your feet in the water! On summer weekends, concerts and salsa classes are organized, caliente atmosphere guaranteed! A fishing store in the 1950s, this indoor and outdoor bar with patio is a well-kept secret among the locals.

A concert bar run by volunteers and music enthusiasts since 1986! Shaky programming and trendy bands for this small venue that struggles to make ends meet, but is the pride of the locals. The Gilman is mainly associated with having been the springboard for the 90s punk revival led by bands like Green Day, Operation Ivy, Rancid, AFI and The Offspring. A must-see for any rock fan visiting Berkeley, you'll find good sound and a great atmosphere here.

This magnificent cinema opened in 1925 and was for decades the first cinema in the city, showing the latest releases. Then, falling into ruin, it was not until the late 1980s that it was rehabilitated. Today, it has been restored to its former glory and the non-profit association that runs it shows the great classics of Hollywood cinema. Perfect for an original evening, in a majestic context all in gilding. It was closed during the covid crisis, but should reopen shortly.

Gallery by day and club by night, it is the address not to be missed in the city if you are a fan of electronic music. A lot of big names have passed through here, even if we currently find more confidential quality djs at the turntables of this small and very trendy club with a sound system, Funktion One, worthy of the best Berlin establishments. Moreover, the club supports local charities, which is always a good point. A great address to try for party lovers!

Tupper and Reed has a subdued atmosphere, with a brick wall and leather seats, for a most charming decor. On the menu of this bar installed in a former record shop with a gothic decoration, cocktails that have the reputation of being the best in town, made with passion by barmen who work here as masters. If you prefer to drink on the rocks, the spirits menu is very extensive and of excellent quality. The nightly music selections range from jazz and funk to electronic and rock. Not to be missed for a night of drinking and style.

This magnificent amusement park built in 1907 is the oldest in California and creates a very special atmosphere: there are very few amusement parks left on the West Coast of the United States. The roller coaster here dates from 1924 and the carousel from 1911. Other more modern attractions have been added for the pleasure of young and old. A great day out, while enjoying the beach that borders the park!

This chain created in 1966 by Alfred Peet has more than 200 coffee shops in 9 states. This Dutch immigrant from a family of coffee roasters settled in Berkeley at the age of 35, and set up this small coffee shop with the aim of highlighting his know-how and the quality of the coffee beans. The elder statesman and main inspiration for the giant Starbucks, Peet's Coffee & Tea now offers more than thirty premium coffee and tea products in their stores. Don't miss, behind the marble counter, the small museum of the brand with vintage coffee grinders!

The converted former warehouse boasts high ceilings, which are the real attraction of the place, and which have made it possible to install a mezzanine, from which you can enjoy a cold draught with a view of Mission's youth. What's more, the burgers and fish & chips are more than decent for a pub! Perfect for an early evening in Mission, we highly recommend it.

This bar oscillates between dive bar and lounge, for its elegant and trendy decoration. Look up to the two rifles and the stuffed pheasant that taunts them... More atmosphere on weeknights than on weekends - Franciscans go out in livelier neighborhoods. Ideal for an aperitif. An Italian restaurant that is also home to one of Monterey's liveliest nightlife spots. This veritable Ali Baba tavern has a thousand treasures. You can spend hours contemplating pianos, trolleys, horses and other inadequate objects attached to the walls and ceiling. If you have a small creux, you will have to dare to enter the belly of a big cardboard bear. In the evening, you often cross a few nostalgic nostalgic of the legendary Easy Rider in this pub, which served as a backdrop to the first scenes of the film.

Punchline is a club known for launching the late Robin Williams and hosting Eddie Murphy among other American comedians and actors. It all started in 1978 when it opened its doors in what was originally a dressing room for The Old Waldorf, an adjacent rock club. Originally founded by Jonathan and Anne Fox with Jeffrey and Patricia Pollack, the venue was sold to Bill Graham in 1980, who developed it into a stand-up hot spot. For bilingual English travelers and connoisseurs of American humor!

This bar was opened in 1997 by John Lee Hooker. Today it is the most famous place in the Bay Area to hear the blues. The name of the establishment is a nod to one of Hooker's most famous songs, Boom Boom from 1962. You can also come and sway to the sounds of boogie, groove or soul. Moreover, every 3rd Wednesday of the month, Soul Train Revival evenings are organized, named after the famous American TV show dedicated to this style. The front is very pretty. Notice to the amateurs of dance...

The Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, open since 1945, is the Fairmont Hotel's tiki restaurant and bar. Named after the Tonga Islands of the South Pacific, it has a kitschy La Croisière s'amuse feel. Imagine a desert island atmosphere under coconut palms, with straw huts, strings of colored light bulbs and an indoor pool. Not to mention a cyclone simulation with fake rain and lightning every quarter-hour... Live music every day.

Aloha! Pagan Idol is a huge, spectacular Hawaiian tiki bar. Colored lights highlight the decor, which combines tiki elements such as totem poles, aquariums and gigantic plants behind glass canopies... It's almost an attraction in itself. Lean against the counter in one of the bars, or simply stand on weekend evenings when the bar is full, to sample fabulous cocktails where rum is king, including the famous zombie of course. Some are flambéed for added spectacle.

Tucked away on a side street in Union Square, this little vintage neighborhood bar is warm and inviting because music is at the^{heart of}the project. DJs who are friends of the bartenders and the owner play vinyls from their collection on turntables on the mezzanine floor of a small dancefloor. The atmosphere is rather groovy and calm during the week, but livens up at the end of the evening on weekends. On Wednesdays, a small band plays at the beginning of the evening, creating a really nice atmosphere: either jazz (but not daddy-style jazz) or reggae.... The cocktails are delicious.

Perfect for hikers strolling through Griffith Park, The Trails Café has been designed to enhance picnic baskets with fresh, gourmet products. On tables in the shade of the pines or to take away, you can enjoy an avocado or chickpea salad sandwich, a hot dog, a fritatta - an Italian dish similar to an omelette - a quiche, or an egg in a basket, all homemade. Also on the menu: desserts such as cookies, granola, vegan apple pie and lavender shortbread.

In addition to its relaxed atmosphere and cutting-edge music, Go Get Em Tiger is famous for its coffee. It also serves good desserts, such as the dark chocolate cookie with fleur de sel and the banana bread with walnuts. A plus: the establishment displays a list of its suppliers. We know that the bread comes from the excellent Cadoro Bakery in Inglewood, that some of the produce is bought weekly from the Santa Monica Farmers Market, and that the coffee is imported from Colombia, Guatemala and Honduras.

Opened in October 2023, this friendly café with its impeccable aesthetics and music is the perfect place to start your day. Don't forget the pancakes: they're without doubt the best we've tasted on our trip. Very fragrant, cooked with a little extra "je ne sais quoi"... We loved them! You'll also find a number of pastries - chocolate croissant, blueberry muffin, chocolate cookie and vegan spice tea cake - salads and sandwiches, which you can order all day long.

In the heart of Hollywoodland, Beachwood Cafe boasts a cosy interior, with patterned wallpaper and wooden tables. From salads and sandwiches to pizzas and meat and fish dishes, the place is perfect for lunch. Nevertheless, we recommend it for a sweet break in the afternoon. You'll understand why when you see the tempting array of cakes on display... Fruit tarts, carrot cake, brownies, peanut butter cookies and, above all, mouth-watering cheesecakes. A real treat!

For the past fifteen years, Kreation has been steadily expanding in and around Los Angeles. Marina del Rey, Venice, Beverly Hills, Downtown L.A., West Hollywood... We dare you to find a neighborhood where the brand isn't present! Wherever you buy them, these 100% fruit and vegetable juices are real shots of well-being. We tried the Serenity, with water, lemon, agave, ginger and cayenne pepper. Delicious! Special mention goes to the friendly Bryan, who you might bump into in one of the Los Angeles boutiques.

We love the concept of Mosaic Locale, a kind of condensation of excellent addresses: the place serves coffees from Old Town Coffee & Roasters, delicious empanadas from Buena Onda - an Argentinian restaurant - and beers from microbrewery Draughtsmen Aleworks. While it's possible to eat indoors, we highly recommend taking a seat in the charming little courtyard. Bonus: jazz concerts on some evenings and afternoons. This superb concert hall is historic, having been built in 1909 with the grandeur of the halls of the time. Featuring parquet flooring on stage and a horseshoe balcony, it's an example of Scottish architecture blending gilding, stucco and red velvet in neoclassical and beaux-arts styles. The musical program is one of San Francisco's most renowned, with major headliners in all styles performing here, from electro and American hip hop to rock, reggae and naija.

This little Jamaican juice bar has just the thing to get you back on track with its vitamin-packed juice cocktails! We particularly recommend the stamina punch (almonds, peanuts, matcha, pumpkin seeds, spirulina, ripe banana, almond milk, natural spices) and the guava tam (tamarind, guava, mango and kiwi). Around the corner, at 412 15th Street, you can enjoy a delicious, spicy Jamaican jerk chicken at Minto restaurant, owned by the same owner.

If you're staying in Ocean Beach, love good artisan coffee and travel while working, OB Beans Coffee Roasters is for you! Apart from the customers who come in to take their cups to go, you'll mainly come across digital nomads. It has to be said that the music, soft enough not to interfere with concentration or a call, the large, high tables that offer a degree of tranquillity, the numerous sockets and the good Wi-Fi connection are all parameters conducive to home office. Bonus: delicious acai bowls.

In the heart of Gaslamp, this lively address is renowned for the show it puts on every opening night: the Dueling Pianos. Two talented players take their places at the bar's two pianos and compete in a frenzied face-off. The program ranges from rock to rap to jazz, with customers selecting the tunes. The lively show, which involves participation, calls for dancing - on the tables or on the floor - and singing along. All washed down with a draught beer, glass of wine or cocktail.
