PARADISE ROCK CLUB
Read moreThis Boston club with its resolutely rock programming can boast of having welcomed big names from the alternative rock scene, but not only: a concert by the band U2 took place there a few years ago. R.E.M. and Steve Earle also performed there. Since its inception in 1977, the Paradise Rock Club has also seen a large number of local rock bands, who enjoy a small amount of notoriety in the area, perform on its stage. There is dancing and fast food in a lively atmosphere. Shows several nights a week.
SHRINE
Read moreSo shall we dance? This is the temple of world music. Crunk, jazz, blues, reggae, soul, roots, gospel... all genres are represented at the Shrine, and it is essentially independent artists who perform on its stage. Don't try to sit at the few tables, here we move to the rhythm of the music! Admission is free on weekdays and generally charged on weekend evenings, but the prices are not excessive given the quality of the programming. You will certainly discover new talents!
BARBÈS
Read moreThis very nice café in Park Slope is run by French people, hence its evocative name! The place is taken over by the inhabitants of the neighbourhood whatever the day of the week, but on weekends, the atmosphere is really wild! Every Tuesday evening, the brass band plays in a small room at the back of the bar, in an atmosphere close to that of the guinguettes on the banks of the Marne. Jazz, world and gypsy music on the other days in this bobo place which also serves good food. Local atmosphere.
