Magnificent restaurant and 4-star hotel in the heart of an enchanting park on the banks of the Dronne in Champagnac-de-Belair near Brantôme.

Chef Alain Gardillou of La Roda (the wheel in Occitan) has a very emotional relationship with his profession, his mother being the chef of this Michelin-starred restaurant in the enchanting setting of the Moulin du Roc, built in 1670 on the Dronne River in the heart of a park that calls for peace and serenity. The place is inspiring and the chef's cooking is sincere. The ingredients are magnified, the plate sublimated. The hotel has been renewing its rooms for a few years, comfortable and welcoming. The place is magical, we can't tell you enough.

Amoureuse depuis mon premier séjour (2011) de cet hôtel. Chacune de mes visites me remplie d'une sérénité que je ne trouve nul part ailleurs. Le restaurant est excellent et le personnel toujours très acceuillant sachant répondre au moindre de nos besoins. Petit plus découvert cette année avec le massage en chambre...toujours plus pour faire de son séjour une ode à la détente, au calme et au romantisme.

Les extérieurs sont à la hauteur d’un 5*. Cependant…. Pour ce qui est des chambres (la notre Supérieure avec terrasse) il faudrait un petit coup de neuf….toute cette moquette noire, ce cablâge à la vue et la poubelle en inox. Et le placard, surtout le placard, sans étagères ni tiroirs!!
Heureusement le staff a gentiment répondu à notre plainte et nous avons changé de chambre en quelques minutes.

Dans un cadre enchanteur nous avons découvert Le Moulin du Roc.
Le repas était excellent élaboré avec des produits de qualité. Le personnel est très sympathique et le service irréprochable. Tout était parfait.
