Also known as Saint John Tower, this monument, 8 m long and 20 m high, was built in 1509 and has been classified as a historic monument since 1913. On the ground floor, a chapel was built. The first floor served as a meeting place with the municipalities of the commune. On the second floor are the bells, named Françoise, Marie, Pauline and Gabrielle. Following the siege of Sancerre in 1573, the bell bell bell and its clock were removed under the order of the general of La Châtre, commander of the Royal Armies.
