LIGATURE CASTLE
Castle built in 1654 on the basis of a feudal castle, with an English-style park, a period orangery and a chapel.
Château de Lignières, owned by Prince Sixte Henri de Bourbon-Parme, is not open to visitors, but its architecture can be admired through the gate. Built between 1654 and 1656 on the foundations of a former feudal castle, it features a main building, pavilions and moats designed by Larivière. The gardens, designed by Gabriel Thévenon and transformed into an English park in 1827, are home to rare species and a tercentenary tree. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1935, the gardens include an orangery and a 12th-century chapel.
