BOUCARD'S CASTLE
Travel back in time at Château de Boucard! Medieval outside, Renaissance inside... and I promise, no ghosts are waiting for you!
Built at the end of the 14th century on an ancient feudal motte, this château was built by the Boucard family, originally from Gascony. Antoine Boucard gave it its Renaissance style. Long abandoned, it has now been restored and is inhabited. Open to the public in summer, it reveals its unsuspected beauty through a tour of the Duc de Navailles' apartments. Bordered by the Sauldre river and its moat, flanked by four towers, its medieval appearance conceals a magnificent Renaissance courtyard. It also hosts theatrical performances.
