LA BLANCHERIE
La Blancherie, this house of the guards of the Loire, former building dating back to 1840, was reserved for candlelight for maintenance of the banks of the lateral canal in the Loire. His name comes from the launderers who were in the river. Suspended, threatened with destruction, Les Amis de la Blancherie (association 1901) has been doing everything to preserve it for years. From its windows, a breathtaking view of Charity-sur-Loire creates beautiful memories to come. Many volunteers have dedicated themselves to its restoration so that it becomes impossible to destroy it… because it is fair to say that with the journey of La Loire by bike - whose track passes right in front of the house - this construction creates a palette of possible as far as meetings, celebrations, banquets and other open events are concerned, and also a comforting stop for cyclists., walkers, fishermen… To preserve without moderation.
