Built around 1150 of Saulzais stone, it has stood the test of time without significant alteration. Alongside Fontgombault and Neuvy-Saint-Sépulcre, it is one of Berry's leading Romanesque sanctuaries. Like the church of Notre-Dame-la-Petite, it is beautifully illuminated at night.
