BIBLIOTHÈQUE DES QUATRE-PILIERS

In the historic centre of Bourges, nestled in the former Witness Hotel (18 th century), the Four Pillars Library houses the Bourges Heritage Fund. It includes medieval manuscripts, incunables (printed between 1450 and 1500), over 20000 old books, drawings, prints and maps. You will also find documents related to the history of Berry, from the oldest to the most contemporary, from literary archives or from artists'books with limited circulation or as a single copy. Internet consultation posts are available to the public and most documents are digitized. A real gold mine for heritage lovers!
