TREASURE OF THE BASILICA OF SAINTE ANNE D'AURAY
An unusual shrine treasure trove of objects such as altarpieces, reliquaries, a small manuscript and more.
Behind the basilica is the unusual Treasure of the Sanctuary, made up of objects deposited there since 1625 by pilgrims and worshippers of Saint Anne, mother of Mary, generally associated with family and motherhood. Among them, altarpieces, ex-votos, reliquaries, a small Ethiopian manuscript, a chasuble offered by Queen Anne of Austria and, more unexpectedly, the yellow jersey of Jean Robic or the rainbow jersey of a native of Brittany, Bernard Hinault.

Its history goes back to the time between 1623 and 1625 when Saint Anne allegedly appeared to the peasant Yvon Nicolazic and asked him to rebuild a chapel on this spot. That chapel was destroyed during the French Revolution
Around the basilica is a large area with the Scala Sancta, the miracle fountain, and the sanctuary of Saint Anne
