1. Visit Quiberon and its port

Your exploration of Quiberon should begin with its port, strategically located at the entrance to Quiberon Bay and just a stone's throw from the islands. This lively and authentic place, where fishermen, yachtsmen and tourists mingle, has preserved all its charm of yesteryear and is a must-see during your vacation in Brittany. Stroll along the quays and admire the colorful fishing boats, testimony to the importance of the sea in local life. Enjoy a meal or a drink on the terraces of nearby restaurants. You may also spot the statue of an old fisherman sitting on a trap, not far from the small lighthouse, gazing longingly at the undine ready to dive across the water.

Quiberon town center and its many shops are within easy walking distance, just ten minutes from Port Haliguen.

2. Sunbathing on Quiberon's beaches

On the east coast, you'll find beaches sheltered from the wind, ideal for families with young children. The Grande Plage, in the heart of the resort, is the most famous and busiest. It offers breathtaking views over Quiberon Bay and the surrounding islands. For greater peace and quiet, head for Plage du Goviro or Plage de Kermorvan.

On the west coast, the beaches are wilder and more exposed to winds and currents. They are therefore particularly popular with water sports enthusiasts (surfing, sailing, kite-surfing, sand yachting...) The Plage de Port Blanc, located in a small cove, is an exception to the rule and offers an idyllic setting for swimming and sunbathing in complete tranquillity. Plage de Port Bara, meanwhile, is renowned for its turquoise waters and white sand, earning it the nickname "Tahiti Breton".

Thanks to its mild climate and iodine-rich sea air, the peninsula offers an ideal setting for rejuvenation and pampering.

If you'd like to enjoy the benefits of thalassotherapy in Quiberon, we particularly recommend the Sofitel Quiberon Thalassa Sea & Spa, located on the Pointe de Goulvars. This establishment offers a host of wellness facilities, including a huge heated seawater pool.
