THE CASTLE OF KERLOIS
Go there and contact
Although the castle contains some medieval footprints, its façade is from the 16th century. It was in 1607 that the land of Kerlois was acquired by the lord of Keriolet, Olivier Le Gouvello. His son, Pierre, led a crazy life there until he repented and took up his orders. Having become Abbé Pierre de Keriolet, he then founded a general hospital in Auray dedicated to the beggars who had come to beg Sainte-Anne. Nicknamed the "Bandit of God", he died in 1660 and was buried in the basilica of Sainte-Anne-d'Auray.
